So i don't actually play on line but i'm planing on getting into it soon, that being said i follow pretty much all constructed formats and Pauper totally intrigues me, especially after the recent bans. Once i start playing online this format seems like a good place to start.

Other than some Tortured existence decks it seems like Pauper doesn't have any decks using and abusing the graveyard, and therefor there is little hate for it. There are a lot of powerful graveyard based cards that seem to be ignored right now.

This is something i've been brewing in my head and i'm looking for some feedback from people who know the format a little better than i do.
It's mostly based on the card Haunting Misery which seems really powerful. It does put some deck building restraints on you cause you want to be running a lot of creatures, so i tried to pick creatures that could be removal and disruption.

The general game plan is to just stall and stay alive until you can just dome them out with a misery.

4 Fume Spitter
4 Mesmeric Fiend
4 Thornwield archers
4 Ravenous Rats
2 Bloodthrone Vampire
3 Crypt Rats
4 Stinkweed Imp

3 Mulch
4 grisly Salvage
2 Raven's Crime
4 Haunting Misery

4 Golgari Guildgate
4 Terramorphic Expanse
10 swamp
4 Forest

SB (rough)
4 Doom Blade
4 Choking Sands
1 Contaminated Ground
3 Gnaw to the bone
2 Okiba Gang Shinobi
1 Raven's Crime

Not sure if i need 4 misery's but you really want to hit one and not have them milled away.

Not sure if the creature mix is right, maybe i need more dredgers or there are better options for removal? i like the idea of all the deathtouch guys.

Any feedback is appreciated.

It might be an option to remove Bloodthrone Vampire in favor of Carrion Feeder

He lowers your curve and adds counters permanently. The fact that he cannot block should not be an issue if you ask me.

My apologies for double posting, but I was interested enough in the card Haunting Miser that I tried to take it on me to build around the card myself.

Here's what I've come up with:
Deck: Dredging Misery

4 putrid imp
3 wild mongrel
4 Golgari Brownscale
4 Greater Mossdog
4 Stinkweed Imp
4 Shambling Shell

3 Altar's Reap
3 Reclaim
3 Grisly Salvage
3 Haunting Misery
3 Mulch

8 Swamp
6 Forest
4 Golgari Guildgate
4 Golgari Rot Farm

He does help lower the curve but i worry about him not playing defense very well which is what this deck wants to be doing. The mana alone might make that the right decision though.

Lol, no worries on the double posting. I considered a lot of the dredge cards, my biggest problem is that i worry about durdleing too much. Pauper can be really fast so if you aren't stabalizing the board you can get run over. Brownscale is probably the best at dredging while still helping you survive longer after stinkweed, i thought about him in my build but worry about the mana cost.

I like the concept of your deck though i'd really watch the non creature count, i don't know if alters reaps really get you anywhere. I think you'd have to test to figure out if the discard guys actually do anything or if you'd be better served having disruption or removal guys.

If you test it out let me know how it goes.
