So the super cool store Dice Dojo is running legacy on Monday nights, soon to be every other week. They may also run them on the occasional Sunday. The store is right off the Bryn Mawr stop on the red line so not that hard to get to, usually around 6:30. We're trying to grow the scene so try to come out if you can. The events are announced in the Facebook group, which is linked here:

If you don't do facebook I'll try to post in this thread whenever one happens. They aren't huge events but it's something.

Definitely post here again if they start running on Sundays. I'm way out in the burbs and can't make it on Mondays, but weekends are another matter.
I'm also aware of these places that run in the Chicago area:
Hot Sauce Games - weekly on Mondays
Xtreme Games - monthly on a Saturday (frequently does not fire though there are usually a few Legacy faithful around to play)
Nerd Rage Gaming - weekly on Wednesday
Pastimes - weekly on Thursday
I have been playing at NRG. Been firing every week which is great.
It is a shame that a metro area as large as Chicago is so anemic when it comes to Legacy play. I hope someday we can develop a regional player base so that we can have something like the NELC that runs out of Jupiter in New York. Bring on the MWLC!

The legacy events at Pastimes never really fire.

We got 22 players for the last tournament so we were happy about the turnout. Because it is on Monday nights, the event will be capped at 4 rounds. We were having some issues with 5 round tournaments going past midnight.
Regardless, we've been attracting more and more people lately and with the 4-round cap, you don't have to worry about staying too late. The next event is March 11 (next Monday) at 7:30pm. The meta was extremely diverse last time (with 16 different decks) and was a ton of fun.
Join if you can! Chicago deserves a better legacy scene.
