Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying their Valentine's day. I wanted to propose a question, or perhaps a poll. I want to play a new deck in Legacy - a combo deck, but I am unsure of which one I would be the most successful with. Right now, I am strongly torn between Sneak and Show and Reanimator, both of which seem incredibly powerful, however, I am open to anything. I am tired of playing "fair" decks and trying so hard to beat the unfair decks, so I'd rather just play the most degenerate thing I can in Legacy. I used to care if my opponents were having a good time, and if I was having a good time, so I played very interactive decks, but then I'd always be so frustrated when I lost after losing to an opponent that didn't interact with me at all, so I decided that I'd rather just win and feel good about winning, than if I played a deck that I would sometimes lose, even when I played very well. So, what I'm enlisting (or hoping to enlist, at least) you all to do is convince me why I should play a certain deck. I actually think this could be very interesting - I know people are very fond of their archetypes, especially in Legacy, and I'd like to see some people really try and tell me what makes their deck so good.

Please give me the name of your deck, a rough decklist (if you wouldn't mind) and what you think makes it so cool. If this goes well, perhaps this could be a really great tool for people interested in jumping into the format.

Have a nice day everyone!

Combo, bleh. Jund, because odds are you already have the cards and let's face it Jund is fucking everywhere.

Degenrate decks tend to be susceptible to hate so if you're planning on playing your deck in a smqll meta week in week out you might find it an uphill battle as people start adapting to your combo. In that case playing something less degenerate but more resilient like High Tide can be a good option.

Otherwise it's best to acquire a card pool for multiple decks close to each other so you can switch between them quite often to dodge weekly hate. A good example would be switching from Sneak Attack to Omniscience.

I'd say (unfortunately) if you start with S&Ts you can build a card pool to play Sneak Attack, Omniscience, Tin Fins and Reanimator or a combination of those if not all so it would be a good option.

Good luck.

How is telling you what combo / SnT deck to pick off the internet helpful for anyone jumping into the format?
