So we used to play this mini game with basic lands. Basically you had a deck of 25 lands (5 of each) or whatever and the goal was to get domain. Each land had an ability and for the life of us we can't remember plains and forests abilities. Anyone else ever play this and know what they did? (Pretty sure one of them regrothed a card)

Swamp - Hymn for 1 card
Mountain - Stone Rain
Island - Force of Will
Plains - Draw a card?
Forest - Regrowth?

The goal is to play one land a turn, and to get domain before they do. You play you're land for the turn and it just does whatever ability it has. Islands counter lands coming into play when used as force of will, but do nothing when played as normal.

So EtB-Effects of the lands are Hymn, Draw a card etc? Do you have to pitch a land/island, if you play Force of Will?
Can you also pay mana for the spells? Otherwise: What does Stone Rain actually do? The lands make effects when they hit the battlefield or?

I've never heard of this before, so I can't help you. It sounds cool though, so I might try it some time. I am wondering though: do you start with 7 cards in hand as normal?

if my memory is correct you have to pitch the spell to the discard pile for the effect.

F those that want to play.

5 card hand (deck shuffled at random).

You play 1 land per turn and get the effect associated with it. (play a mountain, and you're stone raining you opponit). The ultimate goal is to get domain.

Island works just like force of will (pitch a card (any card)) and counter a land coming into play (and it's effect).

I'm trying to remember how to graveyard worked.

We used the following rules:

Plains: Regrowth
Island: Boomerang
Swamp: Mind Rot
Mountain: Stone Rain
Forest: draw a card

Lands are played face down in turn order, then simultaneously turned face up to apply their effects. They are also countered while they are face down by discarding two lands with the same type. A player who counters an opposing land can't play lands this turn.
