To the untrained eye, this deck may look a bit odd. But to the trained eye, you see a deck that is both incredibly powerful in multiplayer, and even more so in 1v1. it is...
BLOOMING MINE.
The deck Blooming Mine uses a very simple premise. It runs lot of extra draw:

4 Howling Mine
4 Phyrexian Arena
3 Venser's Journal

Some of the most efficient ramp:

4 Veteran Explorer
4 Dark Ritual

Discard and Protection, for safety:

4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Cabal Therapy
3 Autumn's Veil

And finally, the combo, which makes use of all the extra cards you've been drawing:

4 Cadaverous Bloom

4 Exsanguinate
2 Profane Command
4 Black Sun's Zenith

If you haven't figured it out yet here's how the deck works:
T1: Explorer/Therapy
T2: Howling mine/Other relevant things
T3: Phyrexian Arena/Other Draw things
T4: Cadaverous Bloom

Once you have Bloom out, you should have everything you need. Around 9-10 cards in hand, 4-6 lands in play. If you have Autumn's Veil, definitely play it first, so your combo is safe. Then tap lands that you have left over to start off your mana pool, and then remove most of your hand with Cadaverous Bloom, holding onto an Exsanguinate or Profane command, which can then be played for lethal. If it isn't lethal, your newly gotten life should put you well above what most decks can hit in a few turns, giving you plenty of time to try again. Venser's Journal can also keep you life total high. Against aggro, don't be afraid to Black Sun's them.

Enjoy!

Things I still need to do:
Develop a sideboard
Add Card Tags

Don't you get the joke of Running Howling Mine + Discard in one Deck aside from the fact that you don't have a Single Way to Tutor for Bloom while the whole Deck depends on it?

Next appears the question: that this Deck does better than existing Combo archtypes like Storm or Belcher? I can't see a Single aspect tbh.

Using the phrase "untrained eye" as a new user intoducing a 1997 deck tech is "cocky" at a minimun

How about adding Donate and Illusions of Grandeur, maybe for the sideboard? You could also consider the Punishing Fire Engine while you're at it ...

Seriously, Cadaverous Bloom is a 5 mana sorcery speed spell that doesn't do anything on its own and usually requires several more cards in hand to "go off". Trying to circumvent this problem by running HOWLING MINE is not the way Legacy works. I wonder why I would ever play this deck over a strategically similar but tactically way superior deck like Aluren.

Sooo...Prosbloom without the prosperity? :eyebrow:

Since they printed Minds Aglow, which is strictly better than Prosperity (can be bigger, but more importantly you dont have to spend X to cast it; you spend U and the rest only if it resolves) I have been very excited to see if someone could make Prosbloom work again.

This thread is not giving me much faith that is yet being accomplished. :-/

The Problem here is, that cadaverous bloom costs 5 mana and does nothing on it's own. Modern decks like TES can solve the Tutor-Mana-Engine-Triangle much more elegant.

The Deck in question lacks ways to Tutor for the enchantment and spells that profit from it, After it entered the field. All those issues were adressed in "historical" articles about ProsBloom so my personal response came as rude as intended, because I can't explain why anyone can seriously introduce a deck and engine which is 15 years Old, as a new tech, without ever googling for the Said Engine card and gain insight about the ideas (carddraw+pitch into drain life) and problems behind.

The outcome was a Deck that lacks the actual Part of the combo: carddraw. Meditates were insanly good back then and minds aglow should indeed replace prosperity. Todays options are endless. The Tutor issue could have been tackled with spoils of the vault or enlightend Tutor/Academy rector + white Splash ... maybe with an Addition of silences/orim's chants to protect the combo and "chant-Walk" your Opponent to gain time. Instead of such intuitive options the OP presents us a combination of carddraw and Protection which is a) unplayable bad in Legacy and/or b) negates itself.

Back to actual design. i can see Bloom working in some way with Veteran explorer paired with Cabal Therapy and Phyrexian Towers, Green Sun's Zenith, spoils of the vault/plunge into darkness and carddraw best paired with a creature type like zenaga does into something like magara, traitor to mortals (basically a Nic Fit with Combo finish) or kill with Big carddrawing dudes for your kitchen table

Edit: as an Alternative you can Take the historical Deck and replace outdated cards like Said prosperity, vampiric, contract and Natural balance with modern options like ponder, Brainstorm, minds aglow, spoils of the vault, etc. and See what Happens :)

Edit2: gett'n the Deck to "work" is Not a Problem today. It's just a Turn 4 Combo Deck which is rather pointless in a tournament
