So I've always been a fan of junk colors and I've been wanting to make a deck with land destruction in it so I've mashed them together!
DL updated 3/29
creatures - 11
3x eternal witness
4x Knight of the reliquary
4x terravore
Spells - 19
3x Armageddon
4x Grisly Salvage
4x Life from the Loam
3x abrupt decay
3x swords to plowshares
3x Inquisition of Kozilek
Art/ench - 6
2x crucible of worlds
4x mox diamond
Lands - 24
3x Windswept Heath
2x Marsh Flats
3x Verdant Catacombs
3x Savannah
2x Scrubland
3x Bayou
3x Wasteland
4x Tranquil Thicket
1x Volrath's Stronghold
Card Selection/ideology:
Knight of The Reliquary/Terravore act as the beaters/finishers.
Grisly Salvage has been an allstar in the deck. Allows your to find KotR/Terravore pretty quick, or you can use it to up their P/T. And if you happen to pitch something you need you can use Eternal Witness to get it back.
Armageddon is there to shut our opponent down and allow us to go in for the win using crucible of worlds to get our land back and mox diamond for mana.
Life from the loam is used to keep filling the graveyard and bring back wasteland/cycle lands as necessary.
Abrupt Decay/IoK are there for protection.
Sideboard-wise since it's junk colors it gives us a wide range of choices: Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, Maelstrom Pulse, Vindicate, Pernicious Deed, etc.
Thoughts?

I can't imagine that it is correct to not play any copies of DRS in this.
Also, no StP?
I would consider diversifying your spells a little. Possibly drop down to 3 copies of Abrupt Decay. Maybe lose some E.Witness. Maybe a Crucible.
Just some suggestions.
Also, you could consider adding in cycle lands of the correlating colors, that way it turns your Loams into a pseudo-draw engine as well.

Not having Liliana seems wrong as well.

I would drop any one-drops you have and include a playset of Chalice of the Void. The only removal you really care about is Swords to Plowshares, and nullifying that / forcing them to deal with your possible turn 1 chalice is going to keep your terravores and knights alive a lot longer.
I would actually tone down the number of non-basics you're running to like 6 duals, 6 fetches, 3 wastelands, and probably drop the horizon canopies for: useful Knight lands (Karakas and Bojuka Bog), and cycle lands: since you're so heavy into green: 4x Tranquil Thicket and 1x Secluded Steppe or .. the black one escapes me, depends on what your second most demanding color is, probably white.
Eternal witness feels super underwhelming here, at least as a 4-of. I've tried her in loam builds in the past and was always really unimpressed with her, I'd almost rather see fewer / none of her and something to help hose combo, like GSZ and a singleton Gaddock Teeg.
I like the Armageddon / CoW angle, I also think you could do with some more removal, 4 AD's won't be enough and Swords are quite good.
Just first impressions off the top of my head.

I like your idea
You should run some number of basics, probably 2 Forest, 1 Plain and maybe 1 Swamp (depending on your color needs)
Dryad Arbors seems bad without GSZ.
A toolbox for KoTR seems good, like Karakas, Bojuka Bog and Maze of Ith.
I think you can drop the number of duals to 3, or maybe even 2 of the black ones. Maybe a singleton Scrubland would be good?
4 Loams and 2 Crucible seems on paper like very much land recursion, is all of them needed?
Would cycling lands from Onslaught be good in here? (It's very mana intensive so maybe not?)
I would like to see some more Armageddons to focus on the mana denial plan.
If there's room you could try Flagstones of Trokair to make Armageddon more on sided. Maybe in place of some fetches?
Do you need more creature removal, or is your creatures just bigger? You could try some number of STP.
I think Chalice of the Void could be good in this list. It protects your creatures against STP etc. It's also good against both combo and control, maybe try them instead of IoQ? (If you need more spot removal you can try Dismember instead of STP to get around chalice).
Eternal Witness looks rather weak, how about Dark Confidant?
Lots of suggestions. Hopefully some of them are helpful

The synergy between Eternal Witness and Grisly Salvage has been amazing, but I'll try removing a few copies. Also, Dryad Arbor was in there since all of my fetches can get her and she could be used with Cabal Therapy and KotR (in response to Lilli sac a creature). Toolbox-wise for KotR I figured I'd have them in the sideboard to bring in g2/g3. WRT Bob, Grisly Salvage + E. Wit acted as my psuedo card advantage by using gy recursion.
Here is an updated list I'll play around with:
3 Bayou
3 Savannah
4 Windswept Heath
4 Verdant Catacombs
4 Wasteland
1 Dryad Arbor
2 Horizon Canopy
2 Tranquil Thicket
1 Volrath's Stronghold
4 Terravore
4 Knight of the Reliquary
2 Eternal Witness
3 Crucible of Worlds
4 Mox Diamond
3 Armageddon
3 Life from the Loam
3 Abrupt Decay
4 Grisly Salvage
3 Inquisition of Kozilek
3 Swords to Plowshares

Been doing a decent amount of testing lately. I underestimated how good the cycle lands are with LftL. I updated the main list to reflect this. I also added StP for more creature removal since their life doesn't matter to me. Took out Exploration because it didn't end up adding as much to the deck as I liked. Changed cabal therapy to IoK.

This is still not the optimal list I would like to play, but I was able to borrow bayous and a crucible so I was able to throw together a rough build and do some real playing tonight. I went 1-2 but this deck is really fun.
Creatures 12:
1 Dryad Arbor
3 Eternal Witness
4 Knight of the Reliquary
4 Terravore
Spells 23:
2 Armageddon
4 Grisly Salvage
4 Life from the Loam
3 Abrupt Decay
3 Swords to Plowshares
4 Inquisition of Kozilek
1 Ghastly Demise
2 Darkblast
Artifact 1:
1 Crucible of Worlds
Lands 24:
1 Marsh Flats
4 Verdant Catacombs
2 Scrubland
2 Bayou
4 Tranquil Thicket
3 Riftstone Portal
2 Ghost Quarter
1 Forest
1 Swamp
1 Plains
3 Windswept Heath
SB: 3 Ray of Revelation
SB: 4 Hymn to Tourach
SB: 1 Bojuka Bog
SB: 3 Mindbreak Trap
SB: 2 Surgical Extraction
SB: 1 Krosan Grip
SB: 1 Grafdigger's Cage
Round 1 - MUD Welder (loss 1-2)
I've played the combo version of this but never the Welder version. Game 1 I was able to win by leading off with IoK and Abrupt Decay his Metalworkers and was able to keep him from playing any threats and was able to Armageddon into a 15/15 Terravore for the win. Never saw and Welders so I assumed he was on the combo plan so I boarded in 3 MBT and 2 Ray of Revelation. I beleive I took out 2 Darkblast, 2 Armageddon, and a StP. I brought in the 2 Rays because I feel like it is almost an auto sideboard in to hate against GY hate when dredging with loam. This Is probably incorrect and irrationale but I need to play people with this more. Game 2 he got out a welder and pretty much all of my removal useless since he was able to just bring it back to play, allowing him to take the game. Game 3 I realised he wasn't on combo but welder so I sided out the MBT for the Darkblast and Darkblast. Neither of us had amazingf opening hands so it basically become a war of attrition. He got welder online again and was able to grind it out.
Overall Record 0-1
Round 2 - Punishing Jund (loss 1-2)
I know who was playing this and pretty much his exact list so I knew what to expect. Game 1 was similar to round 1 in that I was able to disrupt him long enough for me to get out a very large terravore via armageddon. Game 2 I brought in 4 H2T and just shaved some cards off from my 4-of's. This match went back and forth with him getting out a threat and me gettingf rid of it, but even though I loamed through half my deck I only say 1 of my 4 tranquil thickets so i couldn't really keep up and he out paced me. Game 3 I kept a sketch opening hand and was punished for it. It was a fetch, a riftsone portal, two grisly salvages, an eternal witness, and some other cards. I was hoping to draw into some sort of land so I could use grisly salvage for max value but I got screwed and he destroyed me.
Overall Record 0-2
Round 3 - Mono Black (Win 2-0)
There really isn't much mentioning in this. We had someone new to the shop hwho had came with a friend and was just starting to get into legacy. His deck really wasn't anything specific except mono black. I was able to sweep him pretty easily but we talked a fair bit afterwards so he wouldn't be dissauded after going 0-3 agains't "money decks" (the people in our meta tend to have a couple decks each (even if there is only 8-12 of us regulars) so i told him were usually more than willing to lone something gout to try).
Overall FRecord 1-2
Next week I am going to buy a Volrath's stronghold to put in for sure and take out a Riftstone Portal. I would've had oen this week except I won't get paid till next Wednesday. Dryad arbor didn't really end up doing much, probably going to take it out or maybe put in the SB to use against Lili. SB is also a mess but I kinda threw that together last minute. In the long run I plan on getting another crucible and 4 mox diamonds. Any input is much appreciated though.

hi there
i am a long time Rock/Junk player, and i really like the list, and think there is a lot of potential in it, specially grisly salvage was something i thought about a lot as i can perform as a semi-tutor together with loams
there are a few suggestions i wanted to make
1. post your list in "The Rock"-thread, maybe some other people there would like to test this list, i definitely will
2. i really think with loam, crucible, and armageddon in the deck you really should play 4 mox diamonds as manafixer and to speed yourself up a bit
3. i have to say i really like that you are playing witness, i allways loved her, but in a traditional junk list nowadays she has no place. Witness brings me to my suggestion of a single unearth, which could be awesome in your list, with 3 witnesses and a lot of stuff in the yard, because witness + unearth is a lategame bomb and would help a lot against swarming decks, thanks to recurring witnesses, and with grisly salvage you can allways search for more witnesses, which is awesome
4. riftstone portal is cute but not necessary, wasteland on the other hand would be awesome, and tutor lands for knight as well like karakas (show and tell matchup) and maze of ith (opposing equipment) are awesome
5. i am a bit sceptical about the cycle lands, i know their potential very well since i played aggro loam as well, but maybe horizon canopys would help you more, .... i do not know about this, you will have to try
on the sideboard:
ray of revalation is awefull if you ask me, but rest in peace seems to crush this deck, but there certainly are better options
mindbreak trap is not really needed i think, ... storm is beatable without them as well, and the main-combo-decks around are more show and tell based, where karakas should do a lot of work for u
hymn to tourach are awesome, specially with mox diamonds and help in both controll and combomatchups
hope i could help, and good luck with your deck, i really hope for you to get it to work

Just curious, what do you think about sylvan safekeeper in the deck? Seems like a fancy way to protect your guys while pumping them at the same time!
As for the rest of the deck, I think you dont need that much land recursion. I feel like 3 loam 1 crucible, or just 4 loam should be enough. Also maybe add some more cycle lands, those + loam can get crazy very quickly.

So the core of a Junk Loam deck needs to be the following:
4 DRS
4 Goyf
4 Knight
X GSZ
1 Terravore
3 Liliana
3 Loam
3 Sylvan Library
You start here and build off of it.

Thanks for the input. I definitely plan on getting 4 Mox Diamonds when I get the money (they are in the 'ideal' decklist posted in the OP) but last night was a budget build with what I have/could borrow. Between the cycle lands and Grisly Salvage I get a very good amount of card draw. I originaly had horizon canopy in here and thought it was better. But after doing games with the cycle lands they are just so much better. Rifstone I am going to cut down to 2 right now and see how that feels. I love the fact that it turns all my lands into savannahs (fetches, maze of ith, basics, etc) but I found with 3 it seemed one too many. Unearth definitely seems like it could be good, but if I ran it I think I would need to do at least 3 so I could see it in my hand and not dredge it away and not be able to use it.

I think Sylvan Safekeeper might have a place in the sideboard but that's still a work in progress so I'm all ears. A big reason why I have 2 crucible's is how nicely it plays with armageddon. Sure Lftl is nice but if I play armageddon I have no lands to recast Loam.

My build is more built around lands in the graveyard rather than being a Dark maverick type deck. While this is a good core, it doesn't really fit in with how this deck is made to run and completely changes it.

You could always loam, then geddon? I just like having the loams more for the cycle lands personally, and it's good to have more cards in your hand against certain cards like hymn to tourach. I just feel like it gets the slight edge, but I could see why you might want both.
As for the safekeeper, I just feel like it would be a perfect fit; You have a small number of very powerful creatures with little to no protection for them. Safekeeper, ahem keeps them safe, while also giving you a land sac outlet. You might need to play a cycle land early in a pinch, and want it later in the game for card advantage, or heck, maybe you want to pull some combat tricks and pump your terravore or knight to kill a creature, or even win the game. You would only need 1 with a gsz package, and then you could run dryad arbor, 1 teeg, and maybe even a scryb ranger(fancy tricks with knight and DRS) and even quasali pridemage! GSZ package seems the way to go, especially with all this extra mana you have lying around.

Unearth definitely seems like it could be good, but if I ran it I think I would need to do at least 3 so I could see it in my hand and not dredge it away and not be able to use it.
the way i think of unearth specifically in your deck would be that you can allways grab a witness with grisly salvage or maybe even a GSZ if you wish to play them as well, and then get the unearth that gets dredged into your grave with your witness, for maybe a witness-chain, or some big dude afterwards.
Unearth would not be essential to your decklist, therefore i would only play a singleton, but with all the stuff you get into your yard that singleton could allready be enough to add a lot of lategamepower to your deck
A big reason why I have 2 crucible's is how nicely it plays with armageddon. Sure Lftl is nice but if I play armageddon I have no lands to recast Loam.
the way i would think about playing armageddon would be playing a loam the turn before you play an armageddon, so you would not have to rely on crucible.
next thing would be the mox diamonds i mentioned before, that would also help a lot if you have to cast armageddon before you get to cast a loam.
These two reasons i think are enough to maybe go only with 3 loams + 1 crucible, or 4 loams just like KazinMtg mentioned.

3 elves decks decided to play/show up and I got wrecked by two of them by not having the best sideboard. I ended up going 1-3 (My won win was against dredge 2-0). This deck is real fun but I now need to work on tuning the sideboard.
