What happens when I cast Hearth Charm on my Kiln Fiend?

You can cast hearth charm targetting kiln fiend. After you do, the kiln fiend ability will trigger and go on the stack above the hearth charm. The kiln fiend ability will resolve first, making the fiend a 4/2. When the hearth charm tries to resolve, it will be countered because the target is now illegal.
