Just a heads up -- saw a few comments on Twitter that apparently at the same site in 2007, there were a lot of vehicle break-ins targeted at stealing cards. So be careful -- not that you all wouldn't anyway, but just to call it to your attention so it's at the forefront of your awareness.

You've drawn your whole library and you've wished for that card. You play it, and you lose the clash because you have no library. Am I missing something? Do you have a way to put a card back on top of your library (besides Emrakul, since I assume you can't pay for the delayed Pact triggers)? Do you have a way to recur your kill indefinitely?

Bstorm or Enter Infinite allows a card to go back on top of the deck, or Ponder/Top set up. With Omni in play machine grapeshot everything. Being instant speed it beats Omni hate, 2cc hits/ignores Teeg.

I just read the coverage of the feature match. Cunning Wish does everything at Response speed. Deploying Omni via SnT can be done anytime as long as Enough Wishes are in hand, and/or the to of the deck has been manipulated to stack a 10 mana spell for Clash. With enough Wishes the play can get even easier get Bstorm=stack top, get Ants= kill.

Yeah, that top 8 doesn't really represent the meta. There was tons of combo of all flavours, I've also seen several Aluren and Painter builds, but I think ANT was quite prominent among the top tables. My friend who finished 11th place with RUG said he played combo all the time.

Haha, i startet picking up some Boostersleeves for the front of my collection binders from all the chaos-drafts i have seen between the rounds of main event.

Short report (my deck was Esper Blade):
On friday I played a trial where I won against RUG, Oops all Spells and Mono Red, and then lost to ANT.

In the main event I managed to drop after 7 rounds undefeated with a record of 3 - 0 - 4. Drawed against Esper Blade, Esper Blade, Punishing Fire Control and RUG Delver and won against Elves, Elves and Sneak & Show.

On Sunday I played some Side-Events with RUG Delver and Elves and had quite a good time with my friends.

Yeah, I think so, even if my memory is a bit fuzzy.
I had a xantid swarm, you had some discard and a surgical on LED (which let me shuffle away a bad brainstorm). Eventually I had to AdN (drew it) and didn't find a win so I had to play my other swarm to chump your clique and assemble a kill the turn after using tutors for extra storm. I always felt ahead, but it was definately close.

I'll post a short report & list in the ANT thread tommorow. It was a fairly standard UB list with PiF and green in the board. My 'tech' to get an edge in the ANT mirror (with some versatility elsewhere) was 4 Leylines of Sanctity, boarding out AdN. It wasn't too great since I only played TES and TNT, and the Junk decks mainly boarded hatebears.

Played Sneak & Show again, again like in GP Amsterdam a top 16 finish, this time 9th. Again lost my win and in :p not a lot of special tech, played 1 Sensei's Top which was pretty good. Had two turn 2 kills in the tournament with turn 1 Griselbrand, turn 2 Sneak Attack -> Emrakul. I was one of the guys doing the emo reports in between.

Bleh, my buddy had his deck stolen between rounds too.
Some lowlife out there that day. So anybody who finds a guy trying to sell a Belcher deck with an altered Taiga and Asian Lotus Petals, you probably are dealing with a lowlife scumbag.

i believe roughly 6 persons spent the day at the policestation after having their decks stolen - so at least that many. i heard the shops also had alot of theft.

A friend of mine found a MUD deck on day2 and brought it to the judge station. He was later accused of theft because the deck box didn't contain any cards when the owner got it back from the judge station. A huge investigation followed in which he and his backpack were searched but - of course - nothing was found. So some hours later it turns out some judge at the judge station had accidentally lost the cards inside the deckbox. Don't ask me how that works. At least the cards showed up again later that day.

Who searched his packpack??? Is it legal that judges so that... he took the deck to the judges and they accused him of the theft. Please exile those judges from the game ;)
