So I'll be there at the Event in Milwaukee, WI on the 24th for the Legacy part of the Star City games tournament. Anyone else going to be around? I was looking through the threads recently for a deck to construct. I am really feeling the Aggro Control, how does Counter top fare in the format these days?

I think abrupt decay is tough on it. I don't really know exactly but that was part of a recent conversation with someone who plays counter top miracles.

Well the deck that has had the most top 8's/16's according to my research between Feb-14th & April-8th has been Stoneblade by far, nearly all lists (other than 2 UW stoneblade) Being Esperblade, after that RUG is still around, there's UW Miracle control, whether it's running Helm combo or not, variants of BUG including Aggro/Control/Shardless, Sneak & Show has been doing the best out of all the combo decks, & of course Jund is a real Legacy deck now, though I still feel like it's a Modern deck in a Legacy environment ha ha, anyhow, then there's all the other decks that there's a billion of in the format. Storm decks, Tribal decks, other combo decks, etc etc etc.

Basically half the battle of deciding what to play, the other half is the format itself, you want to familiarize yourself with enough of the format that you almost never sit down across from someone and don't know how to play against it.

True stories.

I've been familiarizing myself with the format but just haven't had much to go on but the top 8 of the last legacy event, which might I add a single goblin deck snuck in and cleaned house? Superior player or Lucky match ups? The deck looks interesting. So I have a buddy basically mailing me the entire Counterbalance deck just gotta figure out what I need to tweak considering the Format at this point I guess I'll hunt through the search and find the Counter balance deck Forum.

I really, really don't like posting this - but please use caution if interacting in person with "Jesus". Hopefully he has gotten some help and grown as a person in the intervening years, but he has a long and sordid history of behavior in the Rochester area that I'll leave out for the moment.

The main counter-top deck in the format is Miracle Control, and it is not an aggro/conrtol deck, it is as pure control as you are going to get in legacy.

As someone who prides themselves on change and growth CDR I have changed a great deal. I've actually had nine competitive fights since moving away from Rochester. I'm engaged now, things are very different these days. I spend my days working a full time job, training and paying my bills. Nobody has anything to worry about with me unless they attempt some sort of physical harm or threaten someone I care about so don't be silly and go about starting drama that doesn't need to be started. I apologize if I caused you any form of grievance in the past and hope we can move forward. Now with that said, I'm actually in need of a couple cards for the tournament Sunday, if I some how make top 8 or what not I am more then willing to share or split prize with those who help me.

[EDIT: is CDR CHUCK? LVL 2 Judge etc etc?!?! If so I heard you stuck up for yourself finally at Millennium congratulations]

scrap aggro and control and any combination thereof, play Sneaky show! its hands down the most powerful deck in the format. if you dont believe me its because you need to shuffle the deck up and test with it. after a handful of games you'll understand.

its not an easy deck to play either.
