I've been toying around with a goofy idea for playing Domain Zoo. Yes, Wasteland hurts. No, it isn't impossible to overcome. The main appeal for me is to play Bloodbraid Elf but also play better cards than Jund has to offer. Once I got to 4 colors it seemed natural to just add the 5th so I can play Tribal Flames. The basic premise is just play great cards, get card advantage, and be very aggressive. Everything in the deck has either exceptional value or inherant card advantage. Deathrite Shaman enables five colors so pathetically easy, one of the biggest ways of working around Wastelands that opponent's bring.

I don't have a clear picture for what I want to do with this deck, but I want to get it down here so I can start getting some feedback. I have no attachment to this list, it is simply a rough list I've been screwing around with on MWS. So far, it's been great spinning the wheel with Bloodbraids and Agents in the same deck. (Note: I am using budget dual lands because I don't own the correct ones. Sue me if you want, but it doesn't matter. It works.)

Tribal flames is a terrible card. I would keep your idea more focused instead of auto-losing to wasteland. Replacing the shocklands with their respective dual lands would be a priority too. For what you want to do, you might want to try RUG cascade (thread available) or 4-color cascade (cutting blue).

Could you link me to RUG cascade? I've been wondering about that option as well.

EDIT: Found it (Waterfalls). Thanks!

Boros Charm might be a tad more flexible than Tribal Flames at the cost of a point of damage. It would let you stay more focused with your manabase too.

This so hard. Stretching your mana base just to play a card that is less flexible and only does 5 when you have drawn all 5 different types as compared to charm which always does 4 in addition to other random uses...

I like the idea of Tribal Zoo in Legacy. DR Shaman does a lot. But please remove these Shocklands from the OP. Nobody cares what cards you have available. Optimize the decklist and do the proxying for yourself.

I think you guys are forgetting that Tribal Flames can hit creatures. Killing Goyfs is pretty insane for a burn spell. I think Tribal Flames is better than Boros Charm and it is not close.

I think that these slots are not debatable for any Domain Zoo list

- 4 DR Shaman
- 4 Wild Nacatl
- 4 Tarmogoyf
- 4 Tribal Flames
- 4 Lightning Bolt

After that there are many possible directions. I would most likely play Dark Confidants, too.

I did think it only hit players. You could probably play both then though. And Snapcasters.
