Golgari Charm

The card is sitting at 50 cents US dollars as of April 2013.

Let's see what it can kill:

Dark Confidant
Revoker
Mother of Runes
Thalia
Flickerwisp
Mindcenser
Mangara
Lingering Souls Spirit tokens
Mongoose without threshold
Visionary
Symbiote
Ranger
Llanowar
Hierarch
Cursecatcher
Snapcaster Mage
Delver of Secret
Silvergill
Goblin Lackey/Matron/Sharpshooter/Marshal/Stingscourager
Grim lavamancer

-----

Counterbalance
Omniscience
Sneak Attack
Aluren

-----

Stops Nic-fit's Pernicious deed
Stops Supreme Verdict
Stops Engineered Explosives

Now, this card obviously is good for Aggro-control deck and typical control deck, specifically BUG deck. Most BUG decks today use Abrupt Decay and Maelstrom Pulse. While AD is great at killing Counterbalance and Lord of Atlantis, do you really want to 1-for-1 by spending AD on a Goblin creature or a DnT creature?

I would argue that GC is better at removal when Aggro decks are dominant in the Meta. To push it over the top, the versatility of being a charm can actually make it better than AD.

Has anyone done testing with this card?

At it's cost, GC is significantly worse than Decay.
I can't think of a single deck I would take GC over Abrupt Decay, Maelstrom Pulse or Pernicious Deed - which is what it's competing against.

I haven't done testing, but GC just doesn't seem a strong choice.
The only thing I could add, is that GC might be useful against token strategy, but then that's not anything that Pulse or Deed couldn't handle.

I've been very happy with Golgari Charm as a sideboard option in Team America and in Jund.

Your understanding seems out of date. In case you are not aware, Abrupt Decay does not work so well when Mother of Rune is active in play and DnT just won a GP. The only deck that fully utilizes Deed is Nic-fit and most decks only run one Pulse. Furthermore, as far as I know, AD for one goblin creature is not the best trade. Pernicious Deed is slow, rarely can you play and activate in the same turn.

Yet, while giving you the ability to mass remove, GC also give you the ability to save your own creature:
Supreme Verdict on my Goyf -> regen
Abrupt Decay on my Goyf -> regen
Punishing Fire on my Deathrite Shaman/Delver (some people run BUG Delver) -> regen

On the other hand, Pernicious Deed and activate at 1 might get rid of Aether Vial, Cursecatcher, Elf, Mother of Rune... etc, but doing so also destroys your own Deathrite Shaman/Delver. This would not happen if you use GC, as long as Delver's been transformed.

I tend to think GC underplayed/undervalued. The applications are huge, can lead to large blowouts, and quiet frankly, wouldn't be expected. While not having played with this charm, Rakdos Charm has done great work for me in the same regard (swiss-army knife) as a sideboard card in Team Italia. Killing creatures, voiding sweepers, and removing enchantments has applications against a multitude of strategies/decks.

I'm a D&T player. Abupt decay on my vials is fine. I can live with it. Golgari Charm would kill my entire team. Not fine at all :p
I think it's a good sideboard card.

Golgari Charm has awesome utility. I played 2 in the SB of my 9th place Invitational list a couple weeks ago, and they were sweet. An interesting use for this card is that it can both kill Souls tokens and protect against Supreme Verdict against Esper.

I've been playing two in the sideboard of my BUG Tempo list and they've been awesome. So far they've killed Sneak Attacks, Omniscience, Mothers, Thalias, Enchantresses, Enchantressesenchantments(ses) and have been doing other very awesome stuff.
Can only recommend you to test those as they are very versatile and do a lot against many decks.
