So a random question.
If I were to have a Chains of Mephistopheles, and my opponent casts a Brainstorm and I flash in Notion Thief, what happens?
Since I'm stealing the draws, would I get mucked off the Chains, or how would that work?

616.1
If two or more replacement and/or prevention effects are attempting to modify the way an event affects an object or player, the affected object's controller (or its owner if it has no controller) or the affected player chooses one to apply, following the steps listed below. If two or more players have to make these choices at the same time, choices are made in APNAP order (see rule 101.4).
Your opponent would choose to let you draw 3 cards, or go through the hubbub of Chains text.

^That ideally. Your opponent does get the choice of which to apply first and may decide to be masochistic.
they could let your chain be first. Then they'd be stuck doing it and then you'd get to from their Chain draw. That is, until they're down to zero cards in hand in which case they mill without a draw or just let your guy steal the draw.
Each draw can only be modified once by both replacement effects.
For the Brainstorm, applied first Chains then Thief, the opponent would discard 3 cards, then put 2 cards back on top of his library. You would draw 3 cards.
For Brainstorm applied first Thief, then Chains, you would discard, draw, discard, draw, discard, draw, and the opponent would 2 cards back on top.
This shit is getting ridiculous. Stop casting Brainstorm with Chains of Mephistopheles on the battlefield.

yes, sorry, typo.
then you'd get to DRAW from their Chain draw.
If they opt to chains for some strange reason, you will still get the draw at the end of it (if there is one).
