This is my combo version of the deck. I use quick mana excel to get my commander, Maralen of the Mornsong out asap. My first tutor is for Ad Nauseam , which i will also attempt to play asap. Given that outside of Ad Nauseam itself, not a single card in the deck costs more than 2 mana (except yawgmoth's will), and the fact that Commander starts you at 40 life, you can now draw an absurd amount of cards until you eventually draw Sickening Dreams , protect yourself with either Gacial Chasm or Dark Sphere, and win. Average win is turn 3, though turn 2 happens about a quarter of the time, and I have managed around a half dozen turn 1 wins since i built this over a year ago, playing it only in tournaments. The converted mana cost of the the entire deck, not including as nauseam, is 32, so i can even take a few hits and still combo.

The usual question: how do you ever tutor with your general? Your opponent tutors first, likely for removal...

If you know it's coming, yes. Most games, my opponent(s) just set up their game plan. And if not with her, I do run tutors. Also, the amount of spot removal in edh is laughable
