Predator Zoo

Hi guys! Yesterday i was thinking about how good Punishing Fire is right now, abused of course with Grove of the Burnwillos, and i remember the old standar deck with Kavu Predator and Grove. Well, i was thinking in something like this:

3 Knight of the Reliquary

4 Punishin Fire
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Swords to Plowshares
2 Ajani Vegeant
2 Fiery Justice

4 Grove of the Burnwillows
2 Taiga
3 Savannah
3 Plateau
3 Windsweept Heat
4 Wooded Foothills
1 Karakas
1 Maze of Ith
1 Wasteland


This is an initial idea for the main, side needs Teegs and Canonists ofc.Thoughts?

I played against this deck last month. It is probably pretty solid. somebody at my LGS was just talking about how good Fiery Justice is in this deck.

I'd like to see if we can get Green Sun's Zenith and maybe Deathrite Shaman in there, but the core idea seems solid.

Probably have to drop Ajani to get in Green Suns. It hurts me inside to lose Ajani V, but He is a tad slow and having consistency as a non blue deck is key.

Fiery justice may seems a weak card, but with one or two Kavus in play it can be devastating. Also eats lingering souls easy.

I was talking too in green zenith, maybe -2 Ajanis,-1 Reliquary -1 pridemage + 3 Zenith +1 Sylvan Safekeeper (protect kavu ftw)/Gaddock teeg/Scryb Ranger.

Love Deathrite Shaman, but i didnt play him in a deck cant abuse all of his abilities Aka nonblack source.

Thoughts?

This deck technically counts as big zoo, and there is already a big zoo thread here:

That being said, I love this deck and since I only have taigas, plateaus and savannahs; I intended to keep playing it along with maverick and zoo variants.

I do like the sylvan safekeeper as he provides more resilience vs control/combo with gaddock teeg.
