This idea has been rolling around in my head for a while. It is assuredly bad, but the humor value is tremendous.
Start with the standard disruption and creature package in Bg:
4 Deathrite Shaman
4 Dark Confidant
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Hymn to Tourach
4 Abrupt Decay
2 Liliana of the Veil
4 Wasteland
18 other lands, mostly black
Needs 16 more cards. Add white for Stoneforge Mystic and Lingering Souls, red for burn, or blue for awesome.
...Brilliant! Instant tier 1 deck!
Or add this:
4 Augur of Skulls
4 Dream Salvage
4 Undying Evil
4 Shriekmaw
"Stop that immediately! This is Legacy - you have to play good cards."
I know I know I know, but hear me out: Augur of Skulls + Undying Evil is savage. Augur of Skulls + Dream Salvage is a beating. Augur of Skulls + Undying Evil + Dream Salvage is... a savage beating. Undying Evil + Shriekmaw is brutal - 2 cards and 3 mana to kill two creatures and get a 4/3 fear. If they try to kill your Augur/Shriekmaw with Undying Evil on the stack, you sac Augur in response/let it happen, effectively trading their instant-speed removal for only your Undying Evil. Even when you can't assemble these combos, Augur of Skulls is a 2 mana discard 2, Shriekmaw is a 2 mana sorcery terror, and Undying Evil saves target Lhurgoyf. Not great, but far from dead.
Dream Salvage is strong with Hymn as well as Augur. Outside of those 8 targets, it's dead. What do you expect from a 1 mana draw 2?
Sideboard:
Kitchen Finks - stall against fast aggro until you flop the SuperShriek on the table
Sinkhole - keep control off their 4 mana bombs until you empty their hand with discard
Thoughtseize - against combo, side out cuteness for more discard
Putrid Leech - against combo, side out cuteness for more clock
Green might not be the correct second color. Blue for Brainstorm would help smooth draws in a deck that tries to assemble mini-combos, but then I don't have a good way to actually kill my opponent. Monoblack is possible with Phyrexian Obliterator as the finisher, but then without DRS and 'Goyf on 1 and 2, the deck is much weaker early. Red can do some nasty tricks with Undying Evil, like Inner-Flame Acolyte and Keldon Marauders, but then the discard package no longer fits.
Maybe this should be a Modern deck. Wrench Mind does a reasonable Hymn impersonation. Wastelands become real lands, or 1 mana discard spells, or Putrid Leeches or something.
I hope this made you chuckle, at least.
