Feral Hydra is another hydra option. It's not as explosive as the others, though.

Vernal Bloom is another doubling piece.

Thanks. I might run Vernal Bloom and Keeper of Progenitus over Mana Flare and Heartbeat of Spring. Less symmetrical, although slower. But after some testing I realized I don't want to curve out a doubler at 3cc anyway. The worst play ever is to tap out for Mana Flare, let everyone use 6-8 mana, then almost tap out for Rosheen... and let everyone go around with tons of mana to kill him and develop their board. Seems really bad. Everyone gets two time walks with doubled mana before you get to exploit it. So having doublers later is probably better anyway, and then one mana doesn't make a difference.

Thanks! Why no love for the dryad? If you target yourself, Yavimaya Dryad is basically Wood Elves (finds Taiga/Stomping Ground and chump blocks), but with a bigger body and evasion (someone at the table will have a Forest). I tend to stick it in any deck where I would be tempted to run Wood Elves, which is basically any EDH ramp deck. Plus the deck is creature-light, so it's nice to have some abilities on bodies as opposed to say something like Gruul Cluestone. Fertilid may be the correct choice though, netting an extra land...

I see the X theme, but I think Vandalblast might just be better than Builder's Bane.

Is Flameblast Dragon X-enough for the deck?
