So,
There are a lot of examples of how the 2 games draw inspiration from each other. In my opinion, these are the 2 best games out there and i think that these guys look at each other. This thread is meant to point out the similarities of some of its character designs.
I'll start of with the first three:
Young Pyromancer & Ezrael

Jace, the Mind Sculptor & Jayce
A homage to the most powerful walker in magic? Character design is different but Jace/Jayce is an iconic magic name.

Nocturne & Nether Shadow
Probably a bit generic; but the idea is the same. However, Warcraft 3 also had a very similar unit.
