So i've wanted a Foil playset of these and it sucks cause they are just ridiculously high right now.

After they rotate out of standard in a few months do you think they'll drop? Will they stay high cause of modern or will i get an opportunity to scoop em up?

Short answer is: minor dip due to increased supply.

Remember Jace TMS after the banning? The regulars dipped alot, but the foils barely dipped. Look where the prices are now once supply has dried up.

Liliana seems like a healthy candidate for a reprint.

No, foil prices don't drop.
Non-foils does, however. (Not a lot, as these two cards are both MULTI (all constructed)-format stables)

(Rotation and banning can't be considered the same, so don't go there)

Eternal foil staples dont really go down in price but rather go up instead check jace thoughtseize and bob as well tarmogoyf
and wastelands and swords to plowshares / brainstorm.

I expect both these cards (and Geist) to take a dip between August and November, but there is very likely going to be little to no change in the price of foils during that time. Your best bet is to pick up copies of the cards, and then trade multiples to people who have single foils. Players tend to be much more amenable to trading foils if they are getting replacement copy(s) so they can still play.

They won't, due to modern ptq season either.
