Hello everyone,

I am aware that 2 threads already discuss slivers (http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?5500-Deck-Countersliver-(MeatHooks) http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?26390-W-G-B-u-Junk-Sliver-Geddon), but i want to talk about another approach, i.e. creatures-only MD slivers. Before you skip reading there, i want to say that am not trying to build the most competitive sliver-based deck, i just want to find the most coherent build regarding the "creature-only setup".

// Creatures (39)
4 Galerider Sliver
4 Plated Sliver
4 Striking Sliver
4 Predatory Sliver
4 Muscle Sliver
4 Sinew Sliver
4 Crystalline Sliver
4 Sedge Sliver
3 Hibernation Sliver
2 Syphon Sliver
2 Hunter Sliver

// Land (21)
4 Cavern of Souls
4 Ancient Ziggurat
1 Polluted Delta
1 Verdant Catacombs
1 Bloodstained Mire
1 Marsh Flats
1 Underground Sea
1 Badlands
1 Bayou
1 Scrubland
1 Gemstone Mine
1 Tendo Ice Bridge
1 Thran Quarry
1 City of Brass
1 Undiscovered Paradise

// Sideboard (15)
4 Leyline of Sanctity
4 Leyline of the Void
3 Harmonic Sliver
2 Pyrokinesis
1 Syphon Sliver
1 Hunter Sliver

5c first challenge is the manabase. The most obvious choices are 4x Cavern of Souls and 4x Ancient Ziggurat.
Playing Sedge Sliver requires to grant access to swamp, which is currently supported with 4x fetch and 4 duals (a bit low).
The remaining 5 lands are currently being tested (may become more fetch/duals).

All good 1cc slivers are played as 4 of (despite that fact that Galerider Sliver and Striking Sliver effects don't stack) to give this deck decent speed, since there is little room for disruption, the deck need a good clock (with the release of M14, slivers have access to 16 "lords").
I have found Hunter Sliver to be particularly useful for killing early MoR, DrS, Stoneforge, Delver, Confidant, etc.. before they goes out of control.
I disregarded Homing Sliver toolbox and any slivers with ccm 4 or higher, because this is legacy and Wasteland is everywhere. The only mana-intensive card i tolerate is Sedge Sliver because this card proved to be quite important during my tests.

Non-creatures cards in the sideboard are free to cast, because with a manabase containing Cavern of Souls and Ancient Ziggurat, the deck cannot reliably cast a non-creature spell.
Pyrokinesis may sounds like a surprising sideboard choice, but the deck struggles early game versus faster aggro decks. I am trying to find the room for a third one at the moment.

If anyone have any input on the list, that would be great.

Problem of sliver decks is that they have to overextend and a sweeper can know you out of the game. You may want some Frenetic Sliver in order to have a chance to survive a wrath: after all they were going to die so you may as well give your sliver a 50% to stay alive.

Where is Mirror Entity?
Where is Phantasmal Image?
Where are Aether Vials?

This deck looks much weaker than Allies and that deck isn't even good outside of Japanese National Legacy Champs on a dare.
Legacy Allies circa 2010 (http://www.starcitygames.com/magic/legacy/19972_Deck_Tech_Legacy_Allies_with_Audrey_Yanyuk.html) looks better than the OP list. I'm just saying there's room for improvement and you dont need to overload on creatures to get the aggro strategy to work.

Oh yeah. Mirror Entity plays nicely with static abilities.
