Of the top 8 decks in the Starcity Games Invitational (http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/deckshow.php?t%5BT2%5D=3&event_ID=21&feedin=&start_date=2013-07-28&end_date=2013-07-28&city=Somerset&state=&country=&start=1&finish=8&exp=&p_first=&p_last=&simple_card_name%5B1%5D=&simple_card_name%5B2%5D=&simple_card_name%5B3%5D=&simple_card_name%5B4%5D=), only 5 are running Force of Will. Of those, three are running 3x FoW main, one is running 2x FoW main, and only one is running the full playset in the maindeck. None of these decks are combo decks. All attempt to win via relatively fair means. The fair decks have peaked, and combo is poised to make its resurgence.

I think the opposite is true. Looking at the top 8, all but 2 of them are blue. The uwr stoneblade/delver decks look to be very well suited at taking down combo and the shardless bug lists can definitely wreck them postboard. In fact, I think the top 8 indicates that most of them were quite prepared for combo, which subsequently got hated out.

You probably should look at the decks that finished 7-1 or better in the Legacy portion (http://www.starcitygames.com/events/coverage/71_or_better_legacy_decklists.html).
The top 8 is determined by 8 rounds of Legacy and 8 rounds of Standard, so it's not as useful in determining how decks fared in Legacy.

Invitational Top 8s are almost never indicative of the Legacy metagame. Players going to the Invitational tend to metagame by bringing more grindy decks, hoping to outplay their opponents rather than trying to assemble combos. Also note that half of the players qualified for any given Invitational qualified through Standard so they may not be as experienced in Legacy to try and pilot storm or other combo decks so they pick safer choices for the Legacy portion.

I think it's more interesting that Lands could go 7-1 or better with the new Thespian Stage combo.

Agreed. Invitational Legacy decks that do well are always good decks, of course, but the nature of the event means it's not a good barometer for the format. It's not a Legacy tournament per se, so you can't extrapolate good information on Legacy based on its results.

It was definitely an interesting list being basically all in on the combo rather than just having the lands as one or two ofs

Wasn't the final 4 rounds legacy? If so, this probably kicked a lot of the shardless bug decks out of that list.

Very true. I'm pretty sure 6 of the top right drew into top 8 so that probably put their legacy records at 6-1-1. That's what happened to hoogland as well. I didn't think about that

I was at work mostly all day, but I was still saddened by the fact that they didn't pick up Legacy coverage until freakin' ROUND 8..... I mean, what the serious eff?

The Invi was best out of 5 all the way so it went long. And they took like an hour and a half break after the Invi coverage ended.

There was a reasonable amount of combo at the Invi for the Legacy portion. I failed to get TES on the 7-1 or better list with some mismanagement but don't think combo was unrepresented. It's more the people best at playing combo could not get through the Standard rounds as easily.

Storm players playing standard: "What are creatures?"
It's like a grapeshot that stays on the field, works multiple times, but can die to other players grapeshots. Some of which may be bigger, more powerful, or named Tarmogoyf.

It's a Silence with "Suspend - G".
