Thanks :) How far away is the tournament away from the train station?

it depends from which station, there are at least 4 big stations in Paris, ratp.fr is the best way to know which metro and how much time you need to joint the tournament.

Discount runs for two more weeks --- Wire transfers now accepted!

Dear BoM players,

We have been made aware that some of you have experienced issues registering for BoM8 using our website.

So we have negotiated with the venue a time extension to decide whether we need to rent the additional room or not. Therefore, we are happy to let you know that the discounted price will be available for two more weeks!

We want to insist that, to be able to welcome in the best possible conditions (enough space, tables and chairs, judges, great catering, etc.), we need to have an as accurate view of the attendance as possible. Right now, the room we have accepts 900 players only, and considering the last BoMs attendance, that's very close... We don't want to deny entry, but we need to be careful with the budget.

Therefore, Online Registration for the Legacy Main Event will still be 35€ until Sunday, October 13th.

For our other events, please check our Event Schedule.

Also, to make it more convenient for you to register, we have decided to make it possible for you to pay by wire transfer. If you’d like to do so, please send an email to registration@bazaar-of-moxen.com with your:

NAME
First Name
DCI Number
List of the tournaments you want to pay for

We will send then you our bank information and the total price so that you can make a direct wire transfer in the following 3 (three) days. Please note that this is not any kind of “pre-registration” and you will need to pay within three days to be eligible to the discount.

We hope these decisions will make the registration process much easier and we will be happy to meet you at BoM8!

Online preregistrations are there : http://www.magicbazar.fr/tournois_magic/Bom.php?c=2

I'm pretty shitty at understanding their event-plan.

It's possible to participate in both legacy as well as vintage, right?

As in, legacy day 2 is basically just top8 with vintage starting after, or how is it?

because, I could see a lot of people wanting to play in both events..

There is an information in English that stream will start at 4.30 PM (in 15 minutes). On the front page (http://www.lotusnoir.info/) there is also a video area that only waits to be turn online. Wasn't that hard to find.

Quote from http://www.bazaar-of-moxen.com/ :

We'll be on air from around 4pm (GMT+1) everyday until the very last game of the very last match of that day!

On Friday, we plan to cover the PTQ as well as the Top8 of the Legacy French Cup
On Saturday, we'll follow rounds 5-9 of the Legacy Main Event, as well as the Duel Commander (EDH) top8
On Sunday, you'll be able to watch some Modern, the Legacy Main Event top8 and the Vintage top8!
Of course, even if we do not stream your preferred format live, Raphael and Tolki will do their best to keep you updated with what's happening in the other tournaments.

I believe that the countries of origin are pretty wrong. Five out the first six CZE guys are either Swedes, Russians or w/e, while a big number of FRA (and w/e-on-earth the shortcut) names are pretty suspect. Kuchta Tomas FRA? Nespor Jaroslav FRA?

From the Elves thread, guys I was so incredibly happy to see all your support!! :-)

Guys, thank you so much for your support! Winning this tournament was possibly the most awesome thing I ever did in Magic - and all my friends were there to celebrate! I really wish I could give shout-outs to all of you!!

The deck and the event were such a blast to play! I think you can find my matchups for Day1 some pages back. On Day2 I played:

Round10: Merfolk 2-0
Round11: ANT (Grzegorz Jezierski ) 2-1
Round13: UWr Miracles 2-1
Round14: ANT (Jamie Westlake) 1-2
Round15: Patriot (Stuart) 2-1
Round16: ANT (Timo Schünemann) - ID

Get into Top8 with 12-1-2 as 2nd seed, sweet.

Quarterfinals: Fabian Görzgen - Punishing Maverick 2-1
Semifinals: Grzegorz Jezierski - ANT 2-1
Finals: Shahar Shenhar, the freaking World Champion! - Death & Taxes 2-0

You bet your ass I will follow this up with a huge tournament report! Right now I'm sitting in the hotel lobby after treating my friend's for out for dinner. I'll be catching my train to Munich tomorrow noon - and still got the rest of the week off of work - wait a second, Raphael Levy comes around for a talk

Regarding the finals, the Quirion Ranger was summoning sick! I feel so bad about it now, I felt literally sick the moment I realized it way later. After the finals, I went to my team and explained how I killed him on turn2 without Cradle. After I failed to explain after like 4 attempts, I pulled out my cards and recreated the gamestate - only there did I realize that the Quirion Ranger was in fact summoning sick. Neither Shahar, the judge, the stream nor did I recognize it.

My friends now like calling it the Raging Quirion Ranger. Although I like the name, I feel really bad about it and I didn't get the chance to apologize to Shahar for it.

Anyways, Bazaar of Moxen Paris 2013 - I'm loving it! Thank's again so much for your support despite my epic missplay in game2 against Jamie, who's a great guy I previously only knew from MODO. It's funny, had I not lost to him, I would have been undefeated over the entire weekend (including the 7-0 in the trial; and the 6-0 at our local tournament one week earlier, if you want to count that!) But...you can't win it all, hu? Pretty sure I will definitely blow the next sanctioned match of Legacy I'll be playing next weekend at Nuremberg. I hit some SICK variance in my favor of the last days

Thank you so much!!
Yours, Julian

Probably the thoughest top 8 in Legacy ever.

These players may have many other accomplishments, but I follow legacy, and this is what i Know

Jamie Westlake: 37th Legacy GP Amsterdam 2011, 80th GP Strasbourg Legacy 2013 (also won 2 BoM byes via trial)
Julian Knab: Our Hero!
Grzegorz Jezierski:
Timo Schünemann: Winner of Legacy GP Ghent 2012!
Stuart Taylor:
Thomas Enevoldsen: Winner of Legacy GP Strasbourg 2013, Danish Legacy Masters 1 2013, SCG Opens Top 16 Legacy 2013
Fabian Görzgen: Top 8 Legacy GP Strasbourg 2013, Top8 Legacy GP Amsterdam 2011
Shahar Shenhar: World Champion.

Sick sick top8. Even with everything i probably forgot.

Not only were the other players very impressive, but the Decks they piloted. I mean three times ANT in a Legacy Tournament this big? You can bet these guys knew what they did! From what I have seen and experienced Elves does not have the best Game1 against them either. Even more impressive! And I thought your Sideboard was not the best possible option against ANT either. I mean, we don't know what happened in detail, but it looks soooo impressive on paper (excuse me, screen). Just wow! After this I have to give the Deck a try. The lotusnoir stream and chat where so fond of it and conviced me to give it a try and your performance supported it.
Congratulations and great interview in the end! Looking forward to the report.

So after several days of non-stop Magic and at the very end of a very long day, you've made an unintended mistake that all the people in world (including your opponent) should have notice and tell you about it? Wow, no need to have the hump. These things happen, it's not like you've pulled the Ranger from under your chair in a Mike Long way...
Sign the Quirion Ranger, buy a bottle of something pretty old and send them together with a big apologize to Shahar.

Congratulations!
