Bias or just the way it works out?

Would anyone continue to play after 2 losses in a given tournament? Unless they 0-2 dropped everytime, they would still be limited to two losses at each tournament. That would shift the %age to a higher equilibrium. Just a thought.

Also, my Vintage record: 5-7-0; a total of three sanctioned tournaments. I didn't think I was this bad, just can't beat budget Cavern aggro decks. :\

My friends version actually tells you your record vs every individual person as well. Im like 8-1-1 vs Nedleeds because I always play decks that beat his. Im like 2-5 vs Alphastryk because I suck at magic. As of February I was 0-3 vs Phazonmuant (probably 1-4 or1-5 now). Its very sad to me that my best constructed format is modern... Though the one proxied vintage tourney I played in I 3-1'd ;)

Funny thing is that I tried to join the Wizards "help" site, but I can't, as I'm fucking unable to change my birth date from 01/01/2013 for whatever reason, thus they keep asking me for parental approval or some similar shit. Idiots. Damn, I should have played chess. Even whores would be better hobby than anything related to Wizards.
The last time I had troubles with my DCI, I just wrote to some woman of WotC and she send me the needed stuff in a day. Everything WotC did in last three years or so just makes me mad and their customer service is plain hilarious. Basically I can't retrieve my password because my old email broke down and I can't give them my new email, as their net form is unwilling to change my birth date. Idi-fucking-ots.

Are you inferring that no one has (or statistically very few people have) a losing record? Is that really possible?

I'm inferring that very few people have more than 2-3 losses per tournament. There is no incentive to continue playing at that point as most Swiss tournaments are effectively double-elimination without the strict condition of being eliminated at two losses. There is no prize support for most of those records however, so unless you really really enjoy playing in a tournament for practice, most people would drop out.

Players could potentially be serial 0-2 performers, but my guess is that they will likely quit playing altogether if they can't get the tournaments to work out for them.

So yes, the results will be bias towards a winning record. They would not be posting (as they don't play or don't care). If they post they will likely have more wins than losses by the nature of the tournament success.

Basically, it's saying our win % are 95% likely to be between the lower and upper bounds. So I'm 65 to 77, Feline is 70 to 79, JKory is 63 to 71 and Oarsman is 67 to 76.

Of course, this doesn't take into account any biases (i.e. I may have played against weaker players, JKory may like to play stupid decks etc. etc.)

My legacy stats only reflects competitive REL tournaments. My LGS "casual" Legacy events were put in the system as random other formats for years so the store owner could give us FNM promos and such without having to play one of the "official" formats of FNM.
