What is the simplest way to record pre-existing modo replays and post them to youtube or something similar?

I use the screen capture function on my video editing software. I don't know if I would call it easy, but it isn't hard. MTGO replays run a little fast though. If you are going to be adding commentary, you will need to pause the replay many times in order to have enough time to talk.

X-split and OBS (open broadcast software) should be able to provide an answer to your request. you can find demo's on youtube if you're worried about doing something wrong.
