Funny you should say that. For a long time, socal had a reputation as a vicious combo wasteland. Of course, then the all the best storm and belcher players in the area either quit, had collections stolen, or moved out of town. Still, the metagame bears their scars.

looks like SoCal is all about Delvers and Miracles.

Looks like reading into a metagame from 8 decks is a shortcoming.

What happened was that Miracles crushed mid-range; which in turn allowed Delvers to thrive, and there you you have the 4-1-1 decks form a 48 person tournament.
