Fellow Sourcers, I would appreciate your help. I have been planning to travel to the Bazaar of Moxen in May 2014, but I am afraid that with the event moving to Paris in November 2013, they may can the May edition and just have the November one in Paris every year.
Does anyone know whether the May BoM will be happening next year in Annecy? I don't even need dates at all, just whether or not it's happening in May - then I can search for some cheap flights!
Thank you in advance.

The last event scheduled for BoM 8 (Paris) is a trial for BoM 9, which it says will be in Annecy, but does not specify a date.

I'm pretty sure there was a quote on their FB group along the lines of 'fear not, we will still be running the Annecy Event' (assuming its actually in Servier as per 2013). Its well worth going, beautiful town, fantastic events, not too bad to get to.

I just heard back from the organisers, there will be a BoM in May 2014! Woohoo! Time to start planning the trip.

Honestly, if it's the same weekend as last year you'll find Sevrier about as inviting as AIDS. It was a bank holiday and almost everything but the McDonalds was closed. One enterprising restaurant stayed open past 7. The venue themselves was fair about food pricing (since there was essentially no other option) ... the mountains are nice to look at as is the lake but don't expect much else to do (besides magic). Also getting there is a bear compared to a direct flight to Paris.

Looking at map I realized that there's Square Stalingrad in Annecy. Interesting...

This. I wish they'd switch the main BoM to Paris instead of the junior BoM in Nov.

as far as i know, there will be more players at this BoM, compared to last. so why call it junior?

Because it is shorter? I'm not sure but I remember the prize pool being smaller as well.

Don't laugh, but there are 2 metro stations in Paris with a rather funny name: Stalingrad and Oberkampf.

One for the famous battle of Stalingrad during World War 2.
The other for a German manufacturer very long time ago :D

For those of you who wondered why Paris would name a street after a German manufacturer:
The name refers to Rue Oberkampf, named for Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf, an 18th-century German-born French industrialist.

A little note has just appeared on the BoM website about BoM in May 2014 in Annecy, France.
http://www.bazaar-of-moxen.com/en_index.html
In the section entitled "BoM8 in the books, Long live GP Paris" there is the following little gem:
"BoM fans, don't worry, we will run a BoM9 in Annecy, on 1-4 May. Details will be live early next year."
So it appears the dates are set. Time for the internationals to start lining up their travel plans!

For those who couldn't make it in May, don't forget there is also GP Paris in February.

Flights booked, I will see you all at the BoM Annecy 2014! Looking forward to meeting lots of Eternal players from Europe and the rest of the world, playing some MtG and drinking some beers! I need the inside word on the best beer in France, go!
Will I be the person travelling the longest distance to attend? I'm coming from Australia. I think someone from New Zealand would have to come to beat that, because New Zealand is the closest country to the antipodal point of France.
Who else is going? Check in here, perhaps we can organise a Source meetup?
I was looking for something to do with all this leave I have built up...
I'd "just" edge you out for furthest distance :P

It looks like there's trains from Geneva, about 2 hours 30 minutes each way. I have no idea what the price of the train is but I think that's probably the best idea. I'm looking to go out. Should be fun. Now to get the last bits of power (ie all of it) I need for vintage.
