View Full Version : Legacy in IA (or nearby)?

The only place I know of that does Legacy in Iowa is Critical Hit in Iowa City, but they do it on Thursday nights which doesn't really work for me atm. I am pretty desperate to find a place to play at, on the weekend I would probably be willing to drive to the closer parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin or Illonois.

I also wouldn't mind playing Vintage, but I am pretty sure that nobody in Iowa plays that.

Battlezone Games in CR sometimes has legacy events, and First Turn Games in CR had one in September. The Core in Cedar Falls has been having a monthly event on Sunday. If you are interested in driving, I believe Monsters Den in Minneapolis still holds monthly tournaments for duals, Forces, etc. Mox Mania in Madison had a 1k in the summer and mentioned doing it again in the future. There is also an SCG coming up in Milwaukee, but I have to work that day.

Just wanted to mention that there is a Legacy tournament for dual lands on 01/14/2014 at the Core in Cedar Falls. I posted the details under events if anyone is interested.

Move to Iowa :smile: Agreed on Atlanta stepping up their tournament legacy. When I travel down there with my wife this year I'd like to play some magic!

We have our weekly, but I'd like a higher stakes something more often than the 2 or 3 times that we get an SCG event

Wait a minute. Some of us also wrestle and plant soy beans too.

For Iowa though Mayhem in Des Moines is starting to do monthly legacy after the success of the tournament yesterday (Dec. 29th). I believe we will be waiting to hear regular scheduling. Next month though they plan on having a legacy tournament on the Sunday of the 3rd weekend in January (Jan. 19th) that is tentative atm.
