What types of decks are common in the Midwest and more to the point, what does everyone expect at the upcomming SCG in Milwaukee this weekend? More importantly, what will we likely see after rounds 1 and 2 if we are doing well?

I am thinking a fair amount of Maverick, although that is probably more of a personal fear. I will be playing Sneak and Show again I think. It got me into top 16 last time.

If I am being more realistic--- I would expect a fair amount of combo. That is what I played last time in half my matches. The other half were 2 SnT mirros and 2 Delver lists.

I'd say that the Midwest is probably Mid-range.

I see what you did there... Midwest and Midrange!!

If that is the case... what would be strong options for that type of field?

It's a healthy legacy scene up here, so expect anything and everything. That's just how legacy rolls.

It's pretty much the normal big scene SCG meta, so you can expect to see a little bit of everything. Chicago comes up to these as well and there are a lot of players down there. Also lots of people who don't play Legacy often and will bring stuff like Belcher, Dredge, Burn, Merfolk, or just bad decks with terrible sideboards that will randomly bring in 10 anti-your deck cards and wreck your day. I'd expect more UWx Stoneforge and Elves then on the East Coast, for some reason I see a lot of those decks whenever SCG comes to the midwest. Last time there was a lot of randoms playing Sneak and Show and I'd expect that to stay the same since some people only have 1 Legacy deck.

Last time in mke I played against storm, rug twice, mud twice, jund nic fit, elves, and sneak and show.
