After all the bitching between Lemnear and Rock Lee, I figured there should be a thread for challenging other players via cockatrice or whatever. Mostly because I would want to watch. But I guess this thread can be used for calling out other players as well.

Excellent fucking idea.........
EDIT: Wait, except for one thing. Call it The Source Fight Club instead.

First rule...
How would one view this match though? Like sure they can battle, but is there any way for sourcers to view this battle?

If they do it via cockatrice and set up spectator rules, you would be able to watch the gameplay at least.

A MTGTHESOURCE fight club on cockatrice could be fun indeed!
I second the motion.

Or stream the match so there would be massive trash talking in the Twitch chat.

Yes. Do that. I already see myself getting plastered watching that. hahahaha

Streaming via Twitch of course. We also should have people commentating as well as pre- & postgame interviews. Let's go BIG!

Now you're talking! Nothing beats twitch trash talk intermingled with spam porn links!

My time zone's UST +1, Jerry's UST -5.
My work schedule is a pain in the ass and I take family obligations serious, but I'm sure we can play a few games at times.
Edit: lol ... you guys take that far too serious. Jerry and I only have different experiences with the matchup.

I would pretty much only have American Money looping the whole time. For maximum trolls.

Best 3 outta 5. Professional REL. Drinking strongly recommended.

Beat It style hands-tied knife fight? Stream on twitch?
Edit: We just need some way to have CPU-controlled opponents on cockatrice, then we can just stream random matchups 24x7 like saltybet.

I guess pure postboard games would be the interresting part, because that was all we argued about.

Koby feel free to change the thread name to 'The Source Fight Club' or whatever the community votes best. Regarding streaming or cockatrice viewing either works just make sure to post in here so everyone can flock to it

People seem to think I have power around here. I'm just a Vintage mod. :\

Let's start cheering for specific players?

Im hoping someone calls an audible and plays cheerios.

Each player should choose a deck from the new and developmental decks section for their opponent to play.
I could stream, if my Internet connection plays along.
Need a sidekick though for maximum trashtalk.

Im fine with everyone choosing whatever pile that they would like. I mean sure some people will always choose the same deck, but Sometimes we may get to see some crazy shit

I suggest presenting decklists here beforehand ... playing against tailormade SB's for a single Showdown is a joke.

Regarding deck makeup, it has to be the 75 you would play at GP:Global with 0 byes

This idea is fucking fantastic.
I'd love to see top players of each respective deck duking it out, e.g. Thomas Enevoldsen with D&T vs. Bryant Cook with TES etc.
Too often, those top players are too far apart to meet IRL.
No tournament fatigue, no bullshit, just high quality Magic right of the bat.
Could also be a great way to teach new players ways to play a specific match-up, too. Bonus points if both players could make a commentary on their plays and then it gets put together to one video, similiar to something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hO9R-EdWDZw).

Right beforehand yeah I would like that. I agree. Or if someone wants to be a coordinator then PM them the lists.

We could also do polls nominating two people to go head-to-head, maybe a "Which two Sourcers would you like to see duke it out this month/week?" kind of deal.

Some Sourcers are family fathers/mothers or running a biz. I would bet a whole lot of members barely have time to make it to tournaments, not to talk about extensive play-sessions

I think this would be interesting. Maybe like Lemnear said, some can't do it, and people can put their name into a "hat" and either get pulled randomly, or a vote between the people who put their name into consideration
Barook

We could set up weekly polls where we first vote the deck we'd like to see to duke it out (e.g. the Top 2 decks have to play against each other OR we vote a second time for the second deck), then we can vote on the pilots we want to see playing said decks in the next poll, assuming those players are willing/have time.

The only thing this video Remonds me about is how good my switch from Terminus to MB Pyroclasm was xD
I would prefer real commentators (ones who know the decks) rather than players talking somehow. :/

Grudge match over the internet is weak. You need in person. Like Over the Top.

Clearly Lemnear is the winner because Rock Lee has chosen to back off and not respond to the challenge.
