Last time I went to a SCG tournament, i played bant and went 5-2,

Now that bant is completely dead, i need to practice with a new deck, maybe merfolk or UWr blade control. Which one is a better choice?

Which one should i focus on and get some serious training.

where can i get some good training

If you're up late (well... Central time late) I'm happy to test on Cockatrice with you.

Still thinking of the deck i wanna focus my time and energy on to grind. Merfolk (new guy would be out by then), esper stoneblade, or lightning blade?

I can play on MWS if you want.

I think esperblade is pretty strong right now. You get discard vs. unfair decks and strix vs. fair decks. Red really only gives you help against fair decks (and not as much as strix IMO).

Didn't know bant colors were banned. Tough being a rhox war monk.

I saw the topic and wanted to search for Gyms for you to run at.

In all honesty, finding a good testing group online is rough unless you already have the network in place. MTGO is good because they cover rules for you, but you have to have everything already. It will, however, let you learn the motions of the deck in the tournament practice room against random people. Cocatrice and MWS are okay if you want to try them before you buy them, but you have to find competent people to test with ahead of time.

I think it all depends on exactly what type of "training" you need. I'd look toward MWS or Cocatrice if you need to be shown how to play the deck.

WOTC decided that getting to play the best control color, with the best removal color, and the best efficient dude all together was OP. New ban list says tundra can't be in the same deck as Savannah

You clearly never activated a Mishra's Factory under Humility on Magic Workstation. Forget Vietnam, son.

nedleeds wins again.

with 3-4 thread dedicated to sucking bant off I thought this thread was pretty funny. Pro takes a mix of good cards from 3 colors, plays well, draws well and wins a reasonable event and people shit their pants.
