Today's article deals with dealing with brews - check it out :)

Enjoy and let me know what you think!
I'm only halfway through the article, and I am already loving it. Your strategy articles for Legacy (/Vintage) focus more on the process rather than on deck lists; and that's not to be underestimated for Eternal formats.
This is likely the 3rd article with an approach about analyzing an opponent's plays and determining likely cards they may be playing (the Shell game). This is so extremely valuable for Eternal that it should be mentioned at every opportunity. Knowledge = power.
Keep up the good series Carsten. Consider putting these thoughts into a strategy novella.

Another great article. Definitely has made me go back and reevaluate some recent matches with a different approach.

This one was really awesome again.
Thanks for kee putting awesome work for us.
I love theory articles like this (and many of your others). Another subject in the same vein that I'd like to see would be sideboarding against rogue strategies. For example, even though the Dark Zoo deck is unlikely to run Thoughtseize in the MD, how much should we be focused on playing around it post-board? Knowing that Painter decks usually run Spellkite, should we expect Spellskite post-board even if their deck isn't fully invested in the Painter-Grindstone plan? I came across another interesting situation a few weeks ago.
I was playing against Oops All Spells for the first time and even though I didn't entirely understand what was happening game 1, I won after correctly putting him on some sort of graveyard shenanigans. What I didn't expect was to see a transformational Goblin Charbelcher sideboard. I know that Reanimator typically can transform into Show and Tell, and now I understand that Oops All Spells can turn into Charbelcher. However, I think it might be worth exploring what cards and strategies can lead various decks to run transformational sideboards. I feel like if anyone is going to be playing a transformational sideboard, it'll be the Johnnys and rogues out there.

This. It is always good to know what your opponent is on. Being able to correctly determine if you should keep mana open for the spell pierce rather than just pondering on T1 (among other various scenarios) is always a good thing.

@Koby: thanks a lot :) Also, you perfectly explained my rationale for writing these kinds of articles more than straight "this is deck X, play it" ones. :)
Will definitely consider combining some of my articles with some new material to produce a novella once I'm through with my master thesis :D
@afb0032: Thanks, happy it was useful for you :)
@ScatmanX: Thanks, happy to hear it :)
@Dzra: Thanks for the flowers :) I'd definitely try to play around Thoughtseize postboard against that Dark Zoo deck and basically any other deck with black mana (if I'm playing something where they'd be appropriate board cards). As for Painter, well, if you don't know Imperial Painter but are good enough to think about Spell Skite as an option, kudos. I'm not sure in how far Skite actually changes anything, though, as anything that answers Painter will also hit Spellskite and it'll be sitting on the board already if it is relevant.
Transformational sideboards are something I've been considering for an article, too. Expect one once I've collected enough material in my head to flesh it out :)
@Megadeus: Thanks :) Turn one is so important in Legacy, it isn't even funny and much harder to get right when you don't know what's going on.

What are you researching for your thesis?

While this is kinda of topic: I'm comparing the sixties acid subculture (Merry Pranksters and Leary) to the great awakening movements based on the idea that both are based on a strong revelation experience (one chemically induced, the other a traditional religious conversion experience).

While it is off topic, as someone who has their M.S., I always enjoy hearing about other people's research/projects because I know how much hard work and effort goes into it. Best of luck to you with your future education endeavors.
