Hello everyone!

After being away from magic for about a year now I figured it was time to actually make some value out of my Tundras and Jaces and whatnot that I have stored in my basement (somewhere...). Anyway, the most accessible way for me to play is/was to play online using cockatrice, for instance, and I guess the same is true for most people. Seeing as cockatrice was shut down, what is the best way to play magic online now if you want to have some decent games for playtesting, enjoyement etc?

I would be very grateful for any suggestion!

A new Cockatrice server was setup at: http://www.woogerworks.com

If you're looking to play casually, Cockatrice is your cheapest option. If you actually want to play competitively and against skilled opponents I would highly recommend MTGO. There's money on the line in daily events and such so people don't rage quit when they have a bad hand/draw/day/whatnot. I've played on Cockatrice for a short time, but if you actually want to play a good game of Magic, you're better off on MTGO.

Well, unless im not mistaken you have to buy your cards on MTGO. Seems to me that it is a bit silly to buy cards that you already have, especially considering that legacy is far from cheap! That being said, I haven't checked in detail what it costs to play MTGO (buying your deck, that is) but still...
