Since Lemnear threw the idea in the frey before BoM : Paris, why don't we, sourcers from the New World (aka North America) attending GP : DC, gather, break some break, ingest some wines, shoot the shit and brag about how pimp our decks are and enjoy some delicious food before we all turn against each other to find out who's the best spellslinger around.

I know Zilla is giving a huge push to provide us with the playmats before we start crushing and dominating the field, but a get together before the mayhem could be pretty cool.

Anybody from the area that know where to get a good bite to eat not too far from the convention center since I assume the majority of us will have hotel rooms?

Definitely in. Cabs shouldn't be a huge expense if we're chopping 4 ways, but there might also be public transit. But probably not, this is 'Murica

I am a local to the Dulles/Chantilly area and have space for 2-3 (depending on how cramped you are willing to be) in my car to get to the restaurant.

It's not really D.C. so there is no real public transportation. There's a bus that hauls you to Rosslyn D.C. metro and back on a semi regular basis. I think eventually metro will reach out there.

So I guess this is the best place to post this:

I will be coming in early for the Grand Prix and I won't be staying in Dulles (I'm staying in Georgetown with a friend). Unfortunately, he doesn't have a car. I've found a bus that goes to the airport and then I'm guessing a taxi (or another bus) from there is what I'll have to do. Is there anyone in the area that might know a better way to get to the expo center? Or heck, even if anyone around Georgetown is willing to carpool that would be awesome.

He even next leveled me by playing Chalice Zero ... I thought he actually knew how morph worked on the stack. After the match I complimented him on his rules knowledge and he looked at me like I was made of glass. Turns out he thought Chalice Zero would counter any other future chalices on the stack.

Please note the White Leyline and the 2 Angels attacking Krark and his fucking evil thumb. He resolved Fiery Gambit without the thumb in play game won and promptly hit the 3 coin flips. Drew 9 cards and untapped his lands and passed the turn with 15 some odd cards in hand.

HAahaha ... well I went and ordered some German Game of Chaos and Krark's Thumbs. I'll have that deck tuned in no time. I won my first 4 then lost my next 2 and thought I dropped, I ended up half playing the 7th round against a kick ass sliver deck who deserved to continue to battle more than me.
