So below is my current Izzet UR Deck that I'm running for fun casual play with my friends. I don't really have an interest in any tournaments, but I am interested in making this deck stronger/faster/more efficient. I check out other tier 1 Izzet decks and they have Delvers, Young Pyromancers, and Goblin Guides, but no Guttersnipes. Now I like Guttersnipse, but I keep hearing that if I want a better deck, I should take them out. What does everyone else think? And any improvements or advice or comments are appreciated. Also Christmas is around the corner and I was going to ask for cards as gifts so any suggestions? Obviously no Black Lotus.

Main:

2 Delver of Secrets
4 Brainstorm
4 Guttersnipe
4 Young Pyromancer
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Counterspell
4 Phantasmal Image
4 Manamorphose
5 Mountain
4 Disperse
4 Sulfur Falls
4 Steam Vents
4 Magma Jet
4 Goblin Guide
5 Island

Sideboard:

1 Combust
2 Vapor Snag
2 Red Elemental Blast

How casual is the group and is it for 1v1 2v2 or bigger games?

Pretty casual. And we play 1v1, 2v2, and even 1v1v1. I like him in multiplayer. But I wish the deck was just a little faster. I was thinking of purphoros the god of forge to add more burn for young pyromancer. And some free spells like gataxian probe.

For speed you should look into the ur snapcaster/delver lists that are around the internet. They will all be competitive but won't be very fun in multiplayer.

Just looking at your list I would suggest these cards for Christmas:

Snapcaster mage- money card
Grim lavamancer
Chain lightning
Fire//ice
Izzet charm
Ponder
Spell snare
Spell pierce
Isochron scepter
Standstill
Fairy conclave
Mishras factory
Delver of secrets
Keldon maurauders
Sulfuric vortex
Crucible of worlds

Most of these are pretty cheap and would give you a good base to switch back and forth between straight ur burn and ur Landstill if you ever wanted to mix it up. Standstill is always fun in multiplayer games...
