Alright, so I probably know the answer already but am hoping that I don't here.
Are you allowed to mix single sleeved cards with double sleeved cards in a deck?
I admit that I'm asking because I just don't want to go through all of my sleeved cards and double sleeve them, nor do I want to have to buy a bunch of perfect fit sleeves for my cards.
Thanks.
Anything that makes the cards distinguishable from each other is quite obviously a no-go. Double sleeve all of them or none.
Especially when you know they're likely marked and you try it anyway, you're looking more at a Cheating DQ than a Marked Cards game loss.

Yeah, I figured they look the exact same so it MIGHT be allowed but kinda figured that wasn't the case. Drat!
Looks aren't everything. You can tell the difference when you're handling/shuffling them, which could be used to cheat.

the double sleeve cards are puffy after initially sleving them but after a couple games its hard to distinguish between double and single sleeve cards. It's probably not something you would get in trouble for because no one would really notice. If they did call you out on it, it would have to be some significant and noticeable difference between the sleeves.

the long answer is take it to the judge at your tournament and ask him if he can tell the difference.
the short answer is no.

Otoh, perfect fits cost the same amount of money as the tournament fee. Do you really want to waste your money just to be kicked out of the tournament?
Also, whenever possible, I purchase perfect sizes or black shields. Lets say I win several bucks for the fourth place. Should I agonize over which crappy rare do I need for my collection? Should I buy four Black Vises for a speculation? Nah, I'll take a pack of protectors and I'm fine.

Also, perfect fit sleeves last very long. I don't foresee ever re-sleeve those. The main sleeves, yes, inner sleeves, no.

The long answer is wrong. The short answer is correct.

What about using double sleeves for regular cards but using single sleeves for foils? That might actually make it harder to distinguish if you have a mixed foil deck.
