Help with card wording

Alright guys, this card is meant for a cube that real and custom card. My goal is to create an Animate Equipment card that is also an artifact.

Here is the wording:


Equipment Entity [0]

Artifact Creature - Construct

card name enters the battlefield equipped on an equipment you control.

0/0

Would this wording work or would the creature die as it enters the battlefield? Is there a way to polish this?

My guess is that Your templating works, because you resolve the spell before checking statebase actions.

So it enters the battlefield attached to an equipement and gets the bonuses from the equipement before dying.
See the living weapon templating for some more inspiration.

You could probably play with the wording of living weapon to get what you want here...

Living weapon (When this Equipment enters the battlefield, put a 0/0 black Germ creature token onto the battlefield, then attach this to it.)

So maybe your guy could have:

If Equipment Entity would enter the battlefield, choose target equipment you control. When this creature enters the battlefield, attach that equipment to it.

As Equipment Entity enters the battlefield, choose an equipment you control that could be attached to it. If you do, when it enters the battlefield, attach that equipment to it.

Fixed that. "When" would create a triggered ability upon the appliance of the original replacement effect.

My suggestion

As ~ enters the battlefield, chose an Equipment you control that could be attached to it.
~ enters the battlefield with that Equipment attached to it.

Oh yeah. I assume Equipment Entity would have actually died before getting equipped using my original wording. I also like your version more than mine, it is much cleaner.
