Hi,

I received two Onslaught set foil Wooded Foothills today, I ordered them both from the same online store here in the UK, they are probably the biggest MTG card store in the UK, so I normally wouldn't doubt anything. But looking at the cards, one of them seems to be foiled over the actual artwork on the card itself, not just the border, then the other is just foil on the border. The one that is foiled over the artwork is brighter than the other, you can tell by looking at the old card border, the brown border is a lot darker on the one that has no foil artwork. The foil artwork isn't like todays foils that its very noticeable, but when you hold it at certain angles in the light you can see it, but when I hold the other card at the same angles you can't see any foiling over the artwork.

Just thought this seemed a bit odd and made me wonder if one of them may be fake, as I say, I ordered from a reputable MTG card shop so I wouldn't usually doubt anything but just got me wondering.

Thanks

Koby

Do you have a scan or photo of the cards? It's hard to understand the minutia from a written description.

Here are some photos of the cards, I tried to position them as close to the same as possible. Hopefully you can see the foiling on the artwork of the first card, then none on the second, as I describe above.

I know what you are talking about and I think that all of mine have foiling on the artwork / text boxes. I can check other foils to see if its the same

EDIT*** they all have foil specs on the artwork / text box. some are easier to see than others but they all have it. I checked the following cards

ONS fetchlands
intuition
wasteland

I used the LED flashlight on an iPhone.

His pictures actually do a good job of explaining it but without looking at one in person its very hard to tell.
