This is a deck I have currently been trying to move further along in its development. A very interesting deck that has a lot of appeal to me in the current meta full of True-Name Nemesis.

I believe the deck to be well-placed, because it has two ways to deal with TNN (either go over, or go bigger) through use of Phyrexian Dreadnought and Tombstalker. Not to mention, a lot of decks to are just plain cold to Dreadnought and tombstalker (Death and Taxes being a prime example) with some sort of backup. This deck is quite capable of playing two roles (combo, or the tempo role), which gives it a lot of appeal to me, because sometimes you just randomly win on turn 2 if you have force of will//misdirection backup. The only thing I wish it had was a better 2 or 1 drop creature, I feel like Vendillion Clique is really lacking in this deck, but that DRS nor dark confidant help the deck in any measurable manner.

Red is better than Black I think in this type of deck. I played U/B stiflenought for a bit and then moved to U/R.

Lightning Bolt is way better than Disfigure. Tombstalker seems like overkill when you already have 4 delver 4 nought 2 clique. If you want another threat to close out games I would suggest jamming TNN or go up to 3 cliques. I get that discard is useful but I think that you could play Spell Pierce in that slot and still have lots to fight combo with. The reach burn gives you is really helpful in this deck too. Sometimes you only get 1 hit in with Dreadnought or you're beating them down with Delvers/Cliques and you have to win a turn earlier.

My suggestion would be to cut black for Grim Lavamancer and Lightning Bolt plus REBs out of the board.

I agree with you that Red is normally better. But we live in a world with abrupt decay, therefore, discard is an absolute must. Also, I think two Tombstalker is fine.

Discard is definitely not an absolute must, just play more countermagic. AD isn't reason enough to play black, Discard is a horrible top deck late game whereas burn will always be live. Plus you have stronger turn one plays, like dropping Delver or setting up a turn 2 Dreadnought with Ponder or leaving up mana for Stifle to "get 'em". Grim Lavamancer is insanely good and is almost reason enough to go into red. Another good way to fight Abrupt Decay is just to play more threats. If you played 3 TNN 3 Clique 4 Dreadnought 4 Delver then you would be just have more threats than they have removal. I'm saying this in regard to the most commonly played Abrupt Decay decks... Shardless, Jund and BUG Delver. Most of those decks play 3-4 AD and 1 Maelstrom Pulse. BUG Delver sometimes plays Dismember or Disfigure.

If you expect to be playing against combo all day maybe the black splash is worth it. But I think you can do fine by overloading on Spell Pierce and REBs/Pyros
