I see Through the Breach in nearly every SB. Why do you play it and in which MU are they boarded in?
Mirror and BR Reanimator most of the time. Iona naming blue takes away your show and tell/omniscience win route leaving only sneak attack as only option. Maybe some fair deck match ups if they can shut your sneak attack route.

Not only that, you can fetch it with Cunning Wish and slide in one of your obesities in a pinch.

Haha, did this get run through a translator before you posted it? (Not a shot at you, I just have to assume that fatties got changed to obesities.) Regardless, that's hilarious and I really want to start calling Griz and Emrakul obesities from now on.
So is everyone sold on Leyline of Sanctity in the current meta? I don't own any so I haven't tried it out, are people finding it does enough against Pile to make it worthwhile? 4 SB slots is a lot to devote to a card you cant even realistically hard cast.
Hi! Just finished building Omnisneak and want to know some good targets for Cunning Wish? Particularly against infect, reanimator and d&t. Sorry for the vague question, but I'm relatively new to legacy and want to know this before I go try this beauty out at my LGS.

Against infect, Sudden Shock is the bees knees, so is Wipe Away. Kozilek's Return is also quite solid and is very good against D&T. Against Reanimator the best thing I can think of is Surgical Extraction, but you're gonna want that in the maindeck for boarded games since it's usually too slow to wish for. Wipe Away is real good against reanimator too.

Awesome, I'll give those a go against those decks! Cheers for the reply, you might see me on this thread now and then since I need to learn about this deck and play more.

Hello all,
I've been getting good results with Sneak&Show against all decks (even D&T and Eldrazi) except for delver decks and 4c leovold. I only beat them like 10% of the times. Specially with delver decks.
I usually win the first game, but the real problem are the post board games, when they board 500 cheap counterspells (flusterstorm, blasts, etc) and surgicals.
My list is equal to this one: http://mtgtop8.com/event?e=17492&d=308329&f=LE
Except for the 2 omnisciences: instead I run an extra flusterstorm and a main board pyroclasm.
Is there any silver bullet against these decks? Because I'd gladly put 4 of those in my sideboard. It's that frustrating.
(I've been experimenting with chalice of the void against delver (desperate I know), and it kinda works sometimes, though not always).
Or any other tips would also appreciate.

Defense grid. can't be countered by fluster and pyro, so if you stick it turn 1, it's prob GG. If it doesn't, it's a 2 for 1 and you baited out a FOW. Blood Moon is also quite good, though you have to stick it early. Pyroclasm/kozilek's return is also fantastic vs grixis, since alot of times you need time to set up your combo and they are killing iwth small critters. Post-board games will never be in your favor, but if you get it close to 50/50, then you're fine, since game 1 is easy. Hope this helps!

Those are all in my sideboard already. I want cards that aren't on it, or general tips. I always board 2 or 3 defense grid and 2 pyroclasm against them and still no luck. But thanks anyway.

Against Delver Decks i like to board in Grim Lavamancer. He can buy you a lot of time, since you can kill all of their creauters except for TNN. And they usually board out Lighting Bolts in favor of more counters.

Maybe add some Red Blasts which can kill a Delver too? As Anvil of Crom suggested i could imagine Lavamancer gives Delver a headache if he can't handle it. You could give it a try over pyroclasm.
What is your boarding plan in general ? 2-3 Defense Grid and 2 Pyroclasm ? Thats it ? What do you take out ?
Add a basic mountatin against Wasteland and fetch basic lands if you can (if you don't already do...).
If you are not under much pressure it may help to delay the game, deploy lands and play around Spell Pierce and Daze.
You could add some Misdirections or Diverts as additional Fow package and against Discard (Misdirecting Hymn is fun)

I'll third the suggestion of Grim Lavamancer against delver decks. A lot of Delver players will take out all or most of their removal for small creatures which makes it easy for Lavamancer to go unchallenged, and the threats he cant kill, like TNN, are the threats most likely to be sided out. Lavamancer also provides some insulation against Diabolic Edict which is so popular these days.
You could also also consider a Boseiju in the board and bring it in to go up to 20 land against Delver. It's not as good in regular SnS as it is in the versions that have stuff like cunning wish but since you have Through the Breach in the board it's a fine enough card to warrant consideration.

So there is no real silver bullets vs grixis delver... Just board and hope they do not have it... I read an article around the interwebz about a sns player that got 14th at eternal weekend.... He was on a basic list similar to the one you posted... How he boarded vs grixis delver was
2 blood moon
2 d grid
2 pyroclasm
1 abrade
... I did this plan in my last tournament and it does work most of the time.. But if they have it.. They have it... Delver is our worst match up sometimes you have to just go fir it knowing its bad... Just stick to your ganeplan and make them answer you if they can not... They lose point blank... My advice playing against grixis delver... Go for it... Every time do got give them too much set up time.. Not the best but not the worst strat ... Also hate leyline officially now... Not worth the slots for paper metal... Reasonable for online meta

Thought about that, too. Never done too often, though. Will definitely try from now on. Thanks for the advice!

Yep. 3 grid and 1 clasm (I play 1 clasm mainboard, so it makes 2) . Take out 2 spell Pierce and 2 preordain.
I already do all those tips, yes. Except for misdirection and divert, and I don't think I'll do that because it's too bold and I generally can play around discard spells with brainstorm and having 16 combo pieces, what really, really messes me up is counter magic.
Thanks!

I know it's a bad matchup, but I'd like to at least have a decent "bad matchup" win rate, not the awful one that I currently have!

in this meta, discards spells are notably diminished in favor of the counterspell, what do you think of the eureka + show version at the moment?
JPA, what would be your deck list choice in this moment?
Thanks

Sudden Shock is at it's best against Containment Priest, and due to the fact that there has been a recession in Miracles and R/B Reanimator, and the fact that the top two decks at the moment (Pile and Grixis Delver) don't play white, there hasn't been a lot of Containment Priest in the meta recently. Abrade is the more versatile card because it's basically the closest thing to Abrupt Decay this deck can run. Having something that can kill Leovold/Delver/Priest/Pithing Needle/Chalice/Ensnaring Bridge/etc is awesome and a tool this deck didn't really have previously.

Is it still worth running Defense Grids in the SB? Against which decks are they really good? Counter heavy Decks like UW Control?
Lately i found it more useful having the full 4 Spell Pierce and 1-2 Flusterstorm since they are also useful against discard.
And +1 for Abrade

Hi there,
what do you think about replacing one Volcanic Island with a Bosejiu (for the hybrid variant with Omniscience+Cunning Wishboard and Sneak Attack)?
Thanks!

Unless your meta is totally dominated by counter-heavy, non-wasteland decks. In DTT era, omnitell and miracle were the 2 most popular decks, so we could see Boseiju in MD. Today? Not same…
Hello sneakers,
played at GP Singapore legacy side events the past weekend and went on to have a 3-1-1 & 4-1 finishes for the two days.
My list:
51 business spells
(with 4 ancient tombs & 2 islands only)
3 simian spirit guide
2 preordain
2 spell pierce
2 flusterstorm
SB:
3 Grim lavamancer
3 bloodmoon
4 leyline of santity
1 pyroclasm
1 echoing truth
1 wipe away
1 gradigger's cage
1 thru the bridge
I catered the SSG mainboard to play around daze as Grixis delver was pretty rampant in Singapore and as a mana source since Sneak show is also one of the slower combo decks. Grim lavaqmancer is also a good hedge against diabolic edict effects and can take out those pesky deathrites/young pyromancer/delvers/infect creatures.
Saturday (3-1-1)
Round 1 - Grixis delver (1-0)
I won the die roll and had 2 show and tell (SnT) with griselbrand, a SSG and a island and ancient tomb.* Resolved 1st SnT on turn 2 with SSG as opponent tried to daze my SnT. Grisy met with a far/away the next turn but i followed up with a sneaked attack emrakul. Game 2, opponent opened with a deathrite and i had a lavamancer, i was wastelanded next. We durdled a bit and i killed the deathrite in 3rd turn. My first Snt was spell pierced but i followed up with a sneak attack after some cantripping. SSG was immense again as it tanked a daze after i forced back opponent's FoW. Opponent has no choice but to far/away my lavanmancer and i sneaked in an emrakul for the win.
Round 2 - Mono Black Pox (2-0)
Opponent opened with a thoughtseize to take out my only brainstorm and proceed to sinkhole my 2 basic island and wastelanded my ancient tomb while in between i had to take damage from bloodghast.* By the time i landed a griselbrand i was down to 6 life and he edict it with lily. Game 2, i had a turn 1 SnT emrakul but with no Force of will back up. I decided to go for it even though emrakul could met with an innocent blood or small pox and i was lucky he didnt had that. Turn 3, opponent mulled to 5 and I had leyline of sanctity in play, i proceed to win pretty smoothly from there.
Round 3 - Jund (2-1)
Played with a fellow friend who knew how to play against me even though it is a decent matchup for me. Opponent played a thoughtseize-hymn-tamogofy-Bloodbraid elves play in his respective 4 turns whereas i was land and mana flooded with lands/Petals/SSG . Game two i had a first turn SnT Emrakul which seals an auto win unless opponent plays a diabolic edict which he didnt have in his sideboard. Game 3 i was delibrating whether to side out the 3 bloodmoons for the 4 leyline of santity which i did as bloodmoons was a bit slow on the draw. I didnt side in lavamancers in this matchup as i go all in to resolve the combo asap as Jund had a frightening fast clock with surgical extraction sideboard.* I mulligan to six as i had no land in opening 7 and kept a suspcious hand with 1 leyline 1 island 1 SSG 1 FoW 1 Sneak attack and 1 preordain. Opponent had a superfast clock with deathrite, 2 gofys and a bloodbraid elves. i missed a land drop and have to cast a open sneak attack with no red source on turn 3 which was met with a maelstorm pulse and my tomb was wastelanded.
Round 4 - Burn (3-1)
Opponent had a very fast clock and i was down to 4 life by end of 3rd turn. i drew a SnT on my 4th turn but was too late as i had an ancient tomb and was facing an eidolon of the great reveal.* Game 2 i had a turn 3 SnT with the help of a SSG (I only had 2 lands) for a griselbrand althought i was aware that opponent might have an ensnaring bridge or a vortex but i have to risk it even thought i sided in a echoing truth and a wipe away. Turned out i ride the grisly to victory. Game 3 I had a Leyline and it was a comfortable victory via Sneak attack. I just had to be wary to counter ensnaring bridge and use thru the bridge/sneak attack instead of SnT route.
Round 5* - LED dredge ID (3-1-1)
Paired against Jason Leeper who was a prominent dredge player in the States. We decided to split as the points were equal in the side event system and play it out casually. Game 1 Jason had a 1st turn breakthrough and a fast clock and managed to cabal therapy away my combo pieces by turn 2 and finish me off with the walking deads in 4 turns. I decided to only side in grafdigger's cage/pyroclasm/echoing truth without the lavamancers for a fast combo. My sideboards didnt came out I had a sneak attack by turn 3 but was staring at 8 zombies and a ichorid. I topdecked a griselbrand and drew 14 cards, brainstormed and pondered in desperation for my emrakul but it didnt came out and i lost in following turn. On hindsight i should have sequenced 2 griselbrand triggers, ponder and brainstorm to maximise out the search for emrakul instead of cantripping first before the grisey triggers.
Overall It was an enjoyable event with some slight misplays and keeping shaky hands. I find that SSG and Grim lavamancer was a good metacall and helped immensely for speed and playing around opponent dazes although there is a slight tendency to flood out with mana sources. Sideboarding was pretty tricky between deciding to play safer by boarding more pieces at the expense of diluting the combos or risking all with little or not sideboard, especially more with the added element of SSG. I was pretty reluctant to side out preordain and had to keep SSG at some games and probably could have sided out SSG and kepg preordains to prevent flooding. lol but it is a good experience and will learn along the way!
Let me know how would your have approach my matchups and your feedback for my sideboard. thanks!
Sunday report to follow shortly.
I kept the same list for the Sunday GP Singapore side event and met up with 3 Chandra Stompy players!
Saturday (4-1)
Round 1 - Chandra Stompy (1-0)
Opponent was a local player so i knew beforehand which deck he normally plays. I was on the draw with no cantrip but could have a turn 3 sneak attack with SSG and a Force backup with a griselbrand. Opponent casted chalice for one which i reckon was ok to let it resolve. He followed up with a turn 2 scoress spyglass which i had to force it and resolved an ensnaring bridge. I was about to scope when i realised that i still had an near impossible win with SSG beatdown. I trigger griselbrand for 14 cards and found my remaining 2 SSG and 3 force of will. The 2 SSG really went all the way (though one was blocked with opponent Magnus of the moon)! Opponent casted multiple trinspheres, chalice at 0 and chrome mox to try bringing his hand size to one but he was also facing mana issues. I managed to force his 2 rolling earthquake and 1 koth of the hammer along the way and ended up with 1 life after about 10 turns. At one point, I was so desperate that i dicarded emrakul just to hope to reuse my SSG and Force of will by topdecking them since my cantrips was countered by chalice at one. Game 2 was equally interesting. i kept a non cantrip hand after siding out preordains but a turn 3 sneak attack hand. Opponent resolved a chalice at one and i forced away a ensnaring bridge in turn 2 exiling SnT. Koth of the hammer was in turn 3* but i sneaked in emrakul the following turn. However i proceed to flood out with lands and petals for the next 4-5 turns whereas my opponent rebuilded back with sol lands and chalices. He also resolved a spyglass targetting my sneak attack. I drew a force of will with a useless cantrip subsequently and patiently try to counter either a koth or a ensnaring bridge. Opponent proceed to fiery confluence me twice bring my life to 3. Finally i topdeck a through the bridge and swing in with Griselbrand for lethal. it was really a hard earned and epic win!
Round 2 - Infect (2-0)
I kept a decent hand with counters, cantrips, creatures and lands lacking only a enabler. The crucial decision making was at my turn 3 where i had taken 6 posion counters with opponent having 4 cards with 1 open mana. I had 6 mana (2 Ancient tomb, 1 volcanic island and a petal) I was delibrating between risking* casting sneak attack and enable emrakul with only one force backup without any mana left for my flusterstorm or holding back sneak attack with a force and flusterstorm to counter his threats next turn. I decided to risk it as i reckon it was hard to counter opponent's 5 cards with only two counters as all he has to do is to resolve one pump spell. My Sneak attack first met with a daze which i promptly pay with my ancient tomb mana, opponent then tapped out with a brainstorm in response, i forced his brainstorm hopping that he has no more force of wills or dazes. Phew! Sneak attack resolved and i cracked my final mana source from petal for emrakul. Opponent revealed that he had 2 pump spells, a daze and a brainstorm in his 4 cards. Game 2, opponent thoughseize me (he splashed black for discard) and took out my Bloodmoon. He was slowly ticking the infect counters while I only had a echoing truth with no enablers and cantripps. I proceed with landflooding and at one time was only having lands and griselbrand in my hand after echoing truthed his 2 blightened Agent.* Opponent was too careful to holdup his pump spells as he perceived that i was holding up counterspells. I was lucky to ponder for a wipe away just before he decided to go off the next turn. his 2 invigorate on the agent was met with a wipe away. i then proceed to SnT griselbrand and pyroclasm his creatures to victory.
Round 3 - RUG Delver(2-1)
I paired with my playgroup who was reowned as RUG King in the Singapore legacy scene. I lost two games pretty quickly but was able to win both counter wars with a resolved sneak attack but didnt cantrip or drew to any creatures. I sided out the 2preodains,a lotus petal,a emrakul and a fetched land for 3 bloodmoons, a echoing truth and a wipeaway. SSG was pretty good in tanking daze and my friend was pretty surpised by the secret tech as prior to that i was playing omniscience in the flexible slot. He went on to 5-0 for the event. On hindsight , I probably shouldn't side out the emrakul
Round 4 - Dragon Stompy. (3-1)
I was on the draw and kept a one lander but with 3 cantrips, a pierce, a Force and SnT.* I forced away a first turn chalice and spell pierced a ensnaring bridge. I then managed to sneaked in grisy and emmy after cantripping. SSG was again immense in making sneak attack resolve one turn earlier. Game 2 I had a very good hand which i can resolve a sneak attack with griselbrand by turn3 and had 2 forces to counter his spyglass and Chandra torch of defiance.
Round 5 - Dragon Stompy (4-1)
I was paired with another stompy player from New Zealand who had earlier played out a mirror match with my previous opponent. Apparently they decided to prey upon those greedy mana based deck which they did in their earlier matchups. Both of us mulligan to 6. I was on the play and kept a one lander with a petal but with 3 SnT and a emrakul. I pondered to find a second land but couldnt. Opponent casted a 1st turn trinsphere. I top decked a SSG and reckon that i have to risk Show and tell a Emrakul since I dont have a land source and opponent could lock up my petal the next turn.* I took the plunge and was lucky that he revealed a land. Game 2, Opponent resolved a turn 1 trinsphere and a turn 2 chalice at 1. i had 2 ancient tombs and a volcanic island by turn 3 but i didnt cast a sneak attack as i cannot activated emmy in the same turn and I could pay 3 mana to force out his next threat before topdecking another land. it almost cost me the game as he casted magnus of the moon to reduce my mana to 3. i* top deck a SSG to cast sneak attack the next turn and pray that he didnt have a spyglass as i dont have mana to force it. Luckily he didnt have it and i activated the grisel, emmy and lavamancer for the win.
I probably take out a petal for another preordain maindeck as i experienced quite a bit of mana flooding mainboard and keeping in some preodrains after sideboard for some smoother draws as i experienced a lack of cantrips after sideoarding. Turn 1 or 2 SnT and turn 3 sneak attack came up pretty often with the 3SSG and 4 ancient tomb builds though was risky. Maybe i should put in some gitaxian probes going forward?
Thanks for reading. All feedback welcome!
What is your full list Tee?
And congrats with the results.
What is your full list Tee?
And congrats with the results.
4 Show and Tell
4 Sneak Attack
4 Emrakul
4 Griselbrand
4 Brainstorm
4 Ponder
4 Force Of Will
4 Lotus Petal
3 Simian Spirit Guide
2 Preordain
2 Spell Pierce
2 Flusterstorm
4 Ancient Tomb
2 City Of Traitors
2 Island
1 Mountain
4 Scarning Tarn
3 Polluted Delta
3 Volcanic Island
I played more fetched lands due to sideboard Grim Lavamancer and the ocassional turn 1 bloodmoon. Maybe 3 Island would have been more stable.
The sideboard changes that i did in the GP Big Tix Legacy side event were:
Some reflections
Grixis Delver
On the Draw
+ 3 Grim Lavamancer
+ 1 Pyroclasm
+ 1 Echoing Truth
- 2 Preordain
- 1 Emrakul
- 1 Lotus Petal
- 1 Force of Will ( Card disadvantage and 1 need the pierce/flusterstorm to protect against cabal therapy
I did'nt side in the 3 Bloodmoons on the draw as they are too slow if it doesnt come out in first few turns but I prob would side them in on the play.
Pox
On the Play
+ 4 Leyline of Santity
+ 1 Echoing Truth
+ 1 Wipe Away
+ 1 Through the Bridge
- 2 Preordain
- 1 Mountain
- 3 SSG
- 1 Flusterstorm
On the Draw
- 1 Wipe away
+ 1 Flusterstorm
I sided in the wipe away in case opponent plays an ensnaring bridge post board which could be unlikely as he was playing multiple bloodghast. Took it away in game 3 for the flusterstorm to fight discard if i didnt have the leyline. I am not sure whether i could have sided in 2 grim lavamancers but reckon they were poor against lily and the multiple pox and edict effects.
Burn
On the Play
+ 4 Leyline of Santity
+ 1 echoing truth
+ 1 Wipe away
-* 1 Ancient tomb
-* 2 Preordain
-* 2 Lotus Petal
-* 1 Emrakul
On the Draw
+ 1 thru the bridge
-* 1 Force of Will
I sided out 1 Ancient tomb as i was playing 4 mainboard and it pretty much hurts against burn. I need the bounce against Ensnaring bridge and sulfuric vortex. Kept the SSG instead of Lotus Petal in the narrow case that i took 2 damage from eidolon. Sided out 1 FoW on the draw as i wanted to race them by adding thru the bridge. Not sure whether that was correct.
Punishing Jund
On the play
+ 3 blood moon
+ 1 echoing truth
+ 1 Wipe away
+ 1 Thru thr bridge
+ 1 Pyroclasm
-* 3 SSG
-* 2 Preordain
-* 1 Force of Will
-* 1 Lotus Petal
On the Draw
- 3 blood moon
+ 4 Leyline of Santity
- 1 Force of Will
Probably a lot of questionable sideboard here. i sided in the bounce spells in anticipation of choke and pithing needles on my sneak attack.** I was thinking very hard about whether i should side in the grim lavamancers as it can take out deathrites, Bob and bloodbraid elves. On hindsight, probably i could side in some on the draw to buy some time time. I sided out 2 force of will on the draw as it was card disadvantage against Jund. My opponent gave me his feedback that he will side out all 4 force of will and bring in the preordains to go all in on the combo on the draw, in which could be the better play.
Mana Dredge
On the Play
+ 1 Grafdigger' cage
+ 1 echoing truth
+ 2 Grim lavamancer
+ 1 Wipe away
+ 1 Pyroclasm
-* 2 Preordain
-* 3 Lotus Petal
-* 1 Sneak attack
I was probably being too conservative as I side in the lavamancers and kept the SSG to break opponent's Bridge from below. While that could be the plan on the draw, a better plan on the play would have been :
+ 1 Grafdigger's cage
+ 1 echoing truth
+ 1 pyroclasm
-* 1 Mountain
-* 1 Lotus Petal
-* 1 FoW/mana source/preordain
so as to go for pure race and a fast sneak attack with preordain for consistency.
Chandra Stompy
On the draw
+ 1 Echoing Truth
+ 1 Wipe Away
+ 1 through the Bridge
+ 3 Grim lavamancers
-* 2 flusterstorm
-* 2 Lotus Petal
-* 2 Preordain
I sided in the lavamancers only against the variant that has Sin prodder/Quicksmith rebel/ Goblin rabblemasters but not when i face the rolling earthquake versions. Priority is still on a quick sneak attack and Thru thr bridge.
Infect
On the Draw
+ 1 Echoing Truth
+ 1 Wipe Away
+ 1 Pyroclasm
+ 3 Grim Lavamancer
+ 2 Blood moon
- 1 Sneak Attack
- 1 Emrakul
- 3 SSG
- 1 Mountain
- 2 Preordain
3 Bloodmoon was pretty excessive thus i play 2 (since the chance of turn 1 bloodmoon will be greatly diminished when SSG is sided out) to blank out Inkmoth nexus.
RUG Delver
On the play
+ 3 Blood moon
+ 1 Wipe Away
+ 1 Echoing truth
-* 1 Emrakul
-* 1 Sneak attack
-* 1 SSG
-* 2 Preordain
Not sure whether it is a mistake to keep out Pyroclasm on the play since it couldnt hit mongoose when it reach threshold but probably irelevant as i am also facing tamogofy.* Emrakul should probably have been kept in.

While 4C and other 3/3.5-color Blue decks popular now, we could see Red Stompy rising...but 3 of 5 opponents?
I think our deck has a singnificantly favorable matchup against Red Stompy, but also has some weak points. They have up to 4 Ensnaring bridges MD, so a "blind" show could often become suicide. Having answer like Abrade is awesome in this matchup.

Thx! I have recently gotten my foil japanese abrade. Let's test it!

went 4-0 at a local event last night with the omniscienc, cunning wish version (am I the only one still playing it?)
Beat eldrazi 2-1, lands 2-1, affinity 2-0, and the mirror 2-0
I will probably switch to a classical version in the future

Yeah, 2 of the 3 8 moon players preyed on Lands and delvers for 2-0 and i happened to met 1 at first round. Abrade is a pretty good sideboard card though i prefer an additional echoing truth going forward as a catch all. In open meta, echoing truth has more application against threats like empty the warrens and young pyromancer tokens as well as BR reanimator creatures, especially sire of insantity or Choke.

Sneak attack has been pretty underwhelming with everybody playing Spyglass or Needle in the sb. How do you guys feel about cutting red and replacing it with Eureka, focussing a little more on Omniscience?

Does anyone play Spyglass besides Chalice decks? Regardless, Abrade is your friend here, great card against the Delver decks that have needle and the Chalice decks, since they usually have a good amount of artifacts to blow up and it can also kill some of their creatures.

Needle and Revoker were in the meta, since the first day they printed. Why so scared?

I would like to ask you a question, could you explain a bit about your SIDE/IN and SIDE/OUT in the various methups?
I think it's the most important and interesting thing to understand on this list (above all, how do you deal with the delver decks(grixys, BUG, canadian) and 4C control)
congratulations again and thanks in advance for your help

Do you have intention to write a report with a little sideboarding guide? Because I've see your decklist with a friend and it seems that you have about 10 cards against Grixis Delver. We don't know how to do a decent sideboarding (until now we have played the decklist with Cunning Wish that has a very simple sideboarding strategy).

Yeah I would be interested in that guide too!
Meanwhile, just for the pleasure of exchanging some idea, Alex_UNLIMITED can you please post your Sideboarding Plans with this deck?
I' fairly new to this version and it would be awesome to see what more experienced players would do in different match ups!
Thank you very much!!

@JPA: I've been using your general build/idea/list for a few weeks now, and it funny cuz in one of the events I actually replaced 2x omni mainboard with 2x blood moon sb, in a meta filled with greedy/big mana, and it worked very well cuz g1 I can try to trap them down. In addition I've been noticing that decks around the world (tcdecks, mtggoldfish) have been gradually going back to 4 emrakul/grisel/lotus/sneak/show with 2 more threats (omni) and 2x moons 4x leylines 2x grids etc.
Love your results against the matchups; love your build being pretty linear but yet flexible enough to do naughty things.

Played Omni-Tell for the first time last night. I previously had played some UB Omni but this was my first time with Sneak Attack.
Round 1: Grixis Delver (TNN). His clock is fast enough that I never feel like I can afford to play around anything and get taken apart by counterspells. 0-1
Round 2: Grixis Delver. I think I just outdraw him. 1-1
Round 3: Lands. Obviously this matchup is very good for most combo decks. He makes an error in the second game but I think I'd have still won if he had found the right line. 2-1
Round 4: MUD. One of my game wins here is off the back of having Cunning Wish in hand when he puts in Spine of Ish Sah with Show and Tell. The other game he mistakenly boarded in Bottled Cloister not realizing how poorly it interacted with Show and Tell.
Will post my (work in progress) sideboard guide.
Also asked some help against JPA, but he will keep his info until after the Pro Tour (which is perfectly understandable)

Hello you Show and Tell Players,
It occurred to me that I could just ask the experts and maybe it is an interesting topic to you (Like, "What do we wanna do against these?").
So I just saw that a top8ing Burn deck (http://mtgtop8.com/event?e=18312&d=313618&f=LE) at the recent CFB 4k played a copy of Sandwurm Convergence in the Sideboard.
While "kinda cute" it got me thinking about the whole concept of Ashen Rider (which I'd guess is the most common one), Stingscourger and the like in Sidboards against Show and Tell strategies.
I am not sold on it, but what do you guys playing the deck, think about those cards against you?
Is there any merit to this? Or what kind of hate out of non-blue decks is more devastating / acutally effective at all against you?
Pyroblast feels a a little low impact to me.
Cheers.
edit: Or are Phyexian Revoker and Pithing Needle just better?

I would welcome Burn players filling their boards with crap like Sandwurm Convergence and Ashen Rider. They're cards Burn (or, lets be honest, any real Legacy deck) aren't going to be able to cast. So right away, you're hoping your deck with no deck manipulation naturally draws it, and then you're hoping your Sneak and Show opponent casts Show instead of Sneak. Sure it's cute if it works, but that's not gonna be what happens a vast majority of the time. If you're playing burn and you're that concerned about Sneak and Show, at least play something like Ensnaring Bridge or Karakas that you can get out of your hand without relying on your opponent.

The cunning wish builds, like the one recently piloted by Chris Dunn, are very good at beating this type of hate card. In general there's not a hoser that totally hoses that build, cunning wish + omni can answer just about anything with the right sideboard.

So..which is the number for cunning wish?
I tried 2 + 3 omni + 1 intuition + 11 cantrips.
Felt a little bit unestable or maybe...the right word was unconfortable with the wish plan.

I'm playing 3 wish 3 omni 1 intuition 11 cantrips.
I personally find the deck loses very little consistency. Cantrips are more than enough to craft a winning hand, with the reward of the deck more consistently winning the game with a resolved show and tell. Even if you don't show in omniscience, in my experience it makes a resolved griselbrand win the game far more often. On top of all this you are much better at beating all the silly hate cards out of the sideboard and d&t.
People often talk about the numbers looking bad on paper but track show and tell wins from GP vegas to now and many of the winning lists at large paper events have been the wish build.
The big bad wolf to our deck is grixis delver. Post board against them I cut all wishes and intuition and board in stuff to defend my spells. Post board it plays like classic sneak against them, and sometimes game one we can catch them off guard anyway if they keep a hand that isn't tailored to beating combo. Also, I find the omni build is much better at beating a card that has seen significantly more play in the last year - diabolic edict.

I had intended to write a full report but between work and life I haven't had the time, but I placed second at a 80-man 1k at Geek Fortress, a shop in the Seattle area, on Feb 18th. I had a variety of matchups, about half blue/half non, and entered top 8 at 4th seed with one loss to storm. Beat storm in the quarters, miracles in the semis, and lost to RUG in the finals.
Played very tight all day but very loose in the finals.I would have won game two had I not discarded a sneak to hand size growing his goyf and speeding up his clock. Lesson learned, get sleep and dont drink the night before a long tourney. I usually don't get mental fatigue but after 9 rounds you start to feel a hangover.
I played a 3 omni 3 wish list, fairly stock but I cut the wipe away for a boseiju in the board, which ended up being critical in two matches. Not sure about only 1 bounce spell in the board, but I didn't need wipe away in any of my 9 matches. Echoing truth got the job done.

Hi,
after 2 years of a break I am back in Mtg and Legacy again . In the past I only played TES, but I have noticed that I need a variety, but would like to play Combo as usual for me. So my eyes felt to Sneak and Show, it seems very solid. I just looked throw my binder and saw that I have to 2 Eureka laying arround. So maybe it`s cooler to run an Eureka build (just because the artwork is so nice ). No for sure I have readed the last few pages of the thread and there was it mentioned to be the better choice in the current meta, is that right? And would it be a decent choice for an unknown meta and good long time investion... I have to buy 2 Eurekas, Tropicals and a few other stuff, so I have to invest a decent amount of money. Further I would be glad if someone could recommend me good articles, about differnts to Sneak and Show, Strategie and a list as a good starting point for building my own? Thanks...

Round 1 : Miracles
2-0 Win
Game 1 : Opponent is on the play and leads on basic island into ponder. My opening 7 is good with a turn 2 show and tell backed up by FoW. I fetch basic island and ponder on my turn 1 as well finding an omniscience, which i draw. He plays a fetch turn 2 and casts portent, which clearly tells me what he's on. I lay down city of traitors and go for it. He has FoW, I FoW back, he has nothing else. I put in omni, cast Emrakul and time walk, he scoops them up and we're on to game 2.
Sideboard: -3 Lotus Petal, +1 Boseiju, Who Shelters All, +1 Flusterstorm, +1 Pyroblast
Game 2 : Opponent again leads on basic island into ponder. My opening 7 is the following: 3 show and tell, ponder, omni, Volcanic, fetchland. A bit slow but once i get to 3 mana or if i find a sol land i can start playing shows until one sticks. I draw for my first turn it's FoW, I play volcanic and play ponder, I see show and tell #4 and 2 lands, i decide to keep and get the guaranteed 3rd land. he plays land go on turn 2 as do i. turn 3 he casts brainstorm and a land. turn 3 i play a land, and cast show and tell. he plays counterspell. I decide i to not fight as I still have plenty of time. His turn he plays a land and passes. I play show and tell again on my turn, he has FoW, and again I decide not to fight into 4 open mana. On his turn he is low on cards so he taps out to cast jace to brainstorm with him. My turn I play show #3 he has another FoW, this time i fight, I Force back and he has nothing. I put in omni and have cunning wish to go with it, getting intuition for Emrakul and that's the match.
Round 2 : Maverick
2-1 Win
Game 1 : He's on the play and leads on scrubland into deathrite. My opening hand has show, omni and griselbrand in it. I play a fetch and pass. he play knight of the reliquary turn 2. i crack my fetch EoT and brainstorm finding a sol land. I play show turn 2, put in omni, play griselbrand draw 7 find emrakul, onto game 2.
Sideboard: -1 preordain, -1 Boseiju, Who Shelters All, +1 Blood Moon, +1 Abrade
Game 2 : He leads on land deathrite again. I mull to 6 but i have a turn 1 show and tell so I keep it. I play ancient tomb and petal, cast show, my only choice is emrakul. This only goes wrong if he has Krakas, and that's exactly what he has. It all goes downhill from there and we're onto game 3.
Game 3 : I keep a hand of Volc x2, sneak attack, basic mountain, abrade, blood moon, force of will. I play volc and pass. He once again has turn 1 deathrite. I draw and it's cunning wish. I play basic mountain and abrade deathrite. On his turn he plays qasali pridemage. I draw a FoW for turn play a Volc and pass. He plays a land and knight of the reliquary, i force it pitching a force. end step I cast cunning wish for kozilek's return. I draw a land play return killing pridemage. On his turn he play's some creatures that don't impact me much. I draw a griselbrand. I play sneak and pass. He attacks and passes. on my turn I activate sneak put in grisel, I only have one draw 7 available due to being attacked. I dont find emrakul, but a ponder i got off of it does. I put in emrakul and attack for 22.
Round 3 : R/B Reanimator
2-1 Win
Game 1: Not much to say, He was on the play had a turn 1 reanimate for Sire of Insanity and I didn't have FoW.
Sideboard: -2 preordain, -1 Boseiju, Who Shelters All, -1 Cunning Wish, +2 Surgical Extraction, +1 Grafdigger's Cage, +1 Flusterstorm
Game 2 : I'm on the play with turn 1 show and tell. I go for it and put in Griselbrand, and he puts in Sire. It's an easy win from there.
Game 3 : I have surgical, fluster, and show in my opening 7. He plays faithless looting turn 1 dropping a land and ashen rider. I draw and it's emrakul. I play a land and pass. He plays a land and casts reanimate on ashren rider. I flusterstorm it. he plays dark ritual into animate dead, I have no choice but to surgical ashen rider. He passes. I play a land, show and tell putting in emrakul, he has nothing and thats the match.
Round 4 : Grixis Pyromancer
2-0 Win
Game 1 : On the play i have a island, sol land, show, omni, FoW, petal, grisel. I play island and pass. He plays underground sea into deathrite. I draw flusterstorm for the turn. I lay down city of traits and lotus petal, cast show and tell. he just has nothing and that's it.
Sideboard: -2 lotus petal, -1 preordain, +1 Boseiju, Who Shelters All, +1 Pyroblast, +1 Flusterstorm
Game 2 : He plays underground sea into deathrite. My hand contains: boseju, volc, show, ponder, preordain, fetchland, spell pierce. I draw and it's omniscience. I play volc cast preordain to find my third land and I do. He plays pyromancer into ponder off of deathrite on his turn 2. I draw and its a land. I play boseju and pass back leaving up pierce. he plays more cantrips trying to find something and attacks me. I play a land cast uncounterable show and tell, I put in omni, I cast ponder finding a cunning wish, i wish for intuition and get emrakul which is the end of the game.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I've been on cunning wish lists for a while. I have always had them perform really well for me, much more so than any non-wish sneak and show build. Of course that could be variance or the decks in my local meta. However, I never feel like I have auto lose match ups with wish builds, and I use to feel that way with normal sneak and show against decks like death and taxes.
Also, it is super nice to have answers to things game 1 that most show builds don't, like a board clear or grave hate. Those alone can cause enough advantage sometimes to win a game. I will admit that I don't find myself using wish for the instant speed kill though, it comes up very rarely so I'm not even sure if it warrants slots in the SB, but I'm still on the fence about that. If you haven't tried a wish build yet, I would definitely suggest giving it a try.

I see from JPA's latest list that he's back on Cunning Wishes with the instant-speed kill (with Impulse and not Split Decision, so not deterministic). Any chance of hearing reasoning? Trying to get settled on my list for the team GP.

Ok, so I've been noticing recently that the Cunning Wish version has been more popular recently (or at least putting up more results I suppose). I'll say up front that while I have experience with all of the various forms of this deck, I have the most experience, and am currently playing, the traditional version with no Cunning Wish but 2 Omniscience maindeck. I know in an abstract sense what the allure to playing Cunning Wish and a wish board with an instant speed kill is (mewanyk did a nice job last page quickly summing that up). But I specifically want to know why this version is more popular now considering these troubling Grixis Delver times we're living in. I feel like this version is worse against delver than the traditional version for several reasons: 1) Omniscience typically feels like a win more card against Delver - just getting a Griselbrand or Sneak Attack into play is usually enough against them so I don't like cutting core cards to become more Omni reliant; 2) Cunning wish is clunkly as hell against the Daze/Spell Pierce deck; 3) I'd rather have real sideboard cards rather than niche stuff like Firemind's Foresight and Release the Ants that are only good in one very specific situation.
Am I missing something about the Cunning Wish version that makes it great against delver? I understand that if your meta is full of D&T and Moon Stompy then you probably don't have a choice but to play cunning wish, but it seems to me that the traditional version of the deck does better against Delver, and right now I'd want to position my SnS deck to have the most game possible against delver strategies.
tl;dr - If Delver is public enemy #1, why play Cunning Wish?

I think of buying into Sneak and Show or Grixis Delver but I am a combo player at hearth so I tend a bit more to S&S. Anyway I have tasted the several versions of the deck a bit, even an Eureka build . For me the straight version does it best. Cunning Wish is clunky as hell, so it`s Intuition but I play it as a 1-off main instead of 1 Preordain. I also cutted the 2 Omniscience. Me too felt that is just win more and it only works when you could cast your Show and Tell, but than you should be in a good spot already, from where you`re able to win the game (that doesn`t count against D&T and the priest). I always wanted to have more counters for counter wars against delver and miracles and without omniscience I have room for 2 additional Flusterstorm or 2 Spell Pierce depends on which you prefer. Further I like one Blood Moon in the main.

I'm new to the deck and continually manage to lose to myself when it actually matters, but I have what is probably the answer. Split Decision isn't on MTGO.

Split Decision isn't on MTGO.That solves that, although there are still the questions of A) why play Cunning Wishes and B) if playing Cunning Wishes, why play the instant-speed kill. My answer to A is that I want a better Death & Taxes matchup, but I don't have an answer to B. I win more with Blood Moons than I do with Firemind's Foresight and Release the Ants and don't have room for both.

No one talking about the new sideboard tech?
Arcane Artisan 2U
Creature
2U tap: Target player draws a card then exile a card from his hand. If a creature card was exile this way, that player creates a token that's a copy of this card.
When ~~ leaves play, exile all tokens created with it at the beginning of next end step.
It could be a nice sideboard tech for match ups where the opponent removes all removal from their deck and for the Mirror too.
Also, it goes around containment priest.

I posted this in the battlebond thread:
I'm very excited to test Arcane Artisan in the sideboard of Sneak and Show. I've had a good deal of success recently siding in Grim Lavamancer because everyone always boards out their removal, and I think this will end up playing the same way, at least at first when no one has any idea what this card is. 2U is right in the sweet spot of realistic casting costs, it gets around hate cards like Containment Priest, it'll be good in the mirror and against stompy decks with Ensnaring Bridge, and even if you don't have a creature, it still just loots and that has a lot of value in a combo deck. Cool card.
I'll add that while I'm a little weary of boarding in stuff that gets hosed by REB, this at least pushes the deck in a direction where you can start taxing that card. I've always strongly disliked Through the Breach and will gladly cut those from my board in order to test this card out. The fact that this is, at bottom, an expensive looter, combined with the upside of being another combo enabler, makes me really excited to try this.

one interaction that i find also interresting if people are keeping removal after sideboarding:
Sneak attack --> Artisan --> Grisel or emrakul :)
a bit slow, but at least, your fatty stays there.

At least for an extra turn, but getting the blocking utility out of the creature is always good too. Probably won't come up except for once in a blue moon, but these are the kind of interactions that will win you a game from time to time. I've definitely snuck a Grim Lavamancer before to get those final two points of damage.

Hey guys, I am new to this deck, but I have been eyeing it for a while. I am testing out the Cunning wish version online atm. However, I am a little at a loss of why certain cards are in the wish board and I was hoping you could help me out.
Specifically what is the benefit of release the ants and fireminds foresight. With ants all I can see is that you have omni in play and just cast it over and over again if you win the first clash.

Firemind's Foresight gets Cunning Wish, Impulse, Brainstorm. Cunning Wish gets Release the Ants. Impulse finds Griz/Emrakul or more cantrips that eventually find Griz/Emrakul. Brainstorm puts that big fatty on top. Release the Ants kills them.

I do believe it is a good news for us. And I just drop my delver and sleeved the SNT up. I think the meta would be slower than before and would have less combinations of counter/discard. I boldly predict snt(with cunning wish and omniscience) would be well positioned in the future.

Do you guys think it would be at all viable to cut Flusterstorm, Preordain, Spell Pierce, Lotus Petal, Ominscience, the Sol Lands, and some number of the combo cards (~14 cards) and replace them with Swords, Snapcasters, Bolts, and Counterspell.
Basically, the idea is to build the deck more like a control deck that can threaten a combo kill.

Basically, the idea is to build the deck more like a control deck that can threaten a combo kill. Not really as your combo is more fragile than you think and the cards you're adding don't protect it at all. The cards you're cutting are either efficient protection or more redundancy, things that the deck is built to take advantage of.

No speed, nor consistency. How could that work?
If such "strategy" exists, you would already see UWR blade or UR burn players siding in Show and fatties, switching to combo deck after board.

I would imagine it would basically play like the more controlling versions of Modern Twin decks. The idea is you're not an all in combo or control deck but you hedge against both strategies. You can also board in such a way to tweak the deck toward one strategy or another depending on the match-up.

IIRC, there was a "Twin-Blade" list floating around that tried to do that sort of "control into combo" thing: https://mtgtop8.com/event?e=16910&d=304595&f=LE
IDK that it'd work with Show and Tell, though, since you'd be giving the opponent a way to slip a threat past all your counters, and then you'd have to remove it at a mana disadvantage since you're the one casting Show and Tell. I think the idea that the Tap-Guys can block and control the board while the Twin can generate value makes it easier to justify that combo in a control shell, whereas the Show and Tell/fatty cards would just be dead cards in a control players grip.
EDIT: Purple Blood and I are apparently on the same wavelength, though I am the slower typist evidently

How about the performance of the Leylines?
The only thing *everyone* seems to agree about in the Post-DRS meta is that anyone who has ever thought that Reanimator was cool will be trying to force it. Leyline has seen a ~40% price bump online in the last 4 weeks, and it's showing up as a 3-4x in a lot of SBs. And Reanimator is one of the few non-trick decks that can outrace SnS.
Graveyard hate is pretty binary: it's like Vintage - if everyone in the room slacks off on Dredge hate, it collectively increases the expected power level of bringing the deck. If 40% of the room is packing multiple Leylines in the board, it's going to discourage casual Reanimator players.

JPA probably has forgotten more about Sneak and Show than I know, but I've tried Leyline of the Void and I think it's an absolutely putrid card in this deck. It's fine against BR Reanimator, but UB Reanimator is the deck that everyone wants to jam right now. UB almost always has some bounce like Echoing Truth in the board, and even if the UB player didn't know you were boarding in Leyline against them, they'd still board in Echoing Truth to deal with your fatties. The second problem is that Leyline isn't symmetrical like like RiP and we have Griselbrands of our own. That means UB can just Thoughtseize us, bin a Griselbrand, and then Reanimate it through Leyline. The cherry on top is that you cant even realistically cast it if you draw it, and sometimes you'll draw a reasonable hand that doesn't have a Leyline and now you're 7.5% to draw a completely dead card. No thank you.

I played a large tournament(129 men) yesterday with sneakshow. I was ill and had a lot of trouble in my personal life these days, didn't do well but a friend in my local store played sneakshow too and won the tournament. Although I dropped early but would like to share some thoughts and my report with you.
Thanks to my recent testing and advice from JPA(I am really thankful), I gave up the idea playing omnisneak and settle down on a more traditional list. I played 3 Emmy, because I expected there could be a lot of combo and miracle(I was right). And I played one fire/ice in the main for the dnt match-up, which I didn't meet in the whole game. I played EE in the sb, which proved to be excellent. And I initially planned to play a simian spirit guide and a through the breach in the main in place of 2 omniscience to fight reanimator, mirror and decks with bridges. Now I feel regretful for giving up this idea. Also, I had considered playing 3rd spell pierce over 2nd flusterstorm but didn't make any change at last, which was obviously a mistake.
Now for the report.
match one vs miracle (0:2), game one we both mulliganed to six and he was stuck on 2 island. he played surgical extraction on my ponder, which surprised me a lot. I tried to play sneakattack with 2 fow and 2 blue cards in hand, but he had 2 fow and a flusterstorm. Then he played snapcaster mage to flashback his surgical on my sneakattack, which I don't think really matters, but I never drew any other action then...
game two, I was wrong to believe time was not enough for game 3, so I played very hurriedly. he was stuck on two island too, and I played through the breach into a griselbrand through the boseiju. I drew 7 cards and got a bunch of lands, which forced me to drew other 7 cards. I discarded carefully in case he had the surgical. Next turn I played show and tell into sneakshow with abrade in hand, he put down a humility. Then he began to draw lands and I got nothing relevant to answer the humility.
match two vs mud (2:1), I was very frustrated about the loss, mulliganed to 6 but I had only one ancient tomb. I played the tomb and pass. My opponent played trinisphere on turn two but I drew island on turn 3 and began to play my cantrip. My oppent then resolved chalice on one and a lodestone golem. Finally, I played my second tomb and resolved a sneakshow with one mountain untapped. I was at one life at the time and have Emmy and Griselbrand in hand. I pretended that I have nothing and pass quickly. He played warping wail to creat a 1/1 token eot, which was really scary. On his turn, he heastiated for a while but decided to attack with two creatures. I activated the sneakattack into griselbrand blocking his golem and sneaked into emmy on my next turn to hit him down to one life. He left a chalice and a land on board and we both began to play topdeck game, I finnally drew a fire/ice to shoot on his face.
game 2 was fast and stupid, he played spyglass turn one naming sneakattack, I showed a Emmy on turn one(I indeed boarded out 2 snt) but he put down an Ensnaring Bridge. I did expect he might have something weird for my snt, but didn't expect that he had the bridge because he himself should play a lot of big creatures, and considering he had mulliganed and I did not have other cards relevant, I was actually forced to play the snt. He then played three chalice and I just conceded.
game 3 was fast and stupid too. I mulliganed and kept a hand with snt(again!) ,griselbrand and some cantrips. I played turn too snt and this time he did not have anything relevant.
match 3 vs mirror (1:2), game one, I resolved sneakattack and won. game two, he had boseiju and played through the breach. game three, I mulliganed and had boseiju and a lot of actions but didn't see a creature.
match 4 vs pox(2:0), I mulliganed and spell pierced his dark ritual on his first turn,(I feared he was on storm and played ritual, duress to kill me). But then I found I was wrong and got my hands emtpy due to his discard spells and lilianna. I finnally resolved sneakattack and sneaked a griselbrand to get away his liliannna with 6 counters. I drew 7 cards and got no creature and cantrip, next turn I was killed by his factory and bloodghust.
game 2 I kept a 5-lands hand, which was horrible but keepable against heavy discard decks. I countered his chains of mephistopheles and got the grielbrand on the board at last.
game 3 I forgot the details but I won the game very guickly.
Match five vs Tezz control (1:2) game one was fast, I mulliganed and kept a hand with 2 show, grisel and some lands. I showed on turn 2, and he had the bridge.
game 2 was really long and grindy. I played very well, didn't make any mistake, baiting his fow and echoing truth on his brige finnally and attack with my griselbrand.
game 3 was long and grindy too. I made two big mistakes in series at critical time. First I spell pierced his chalice for no reason(which was really irrelevant, because I had the kill in my hand) while he had two lands untapped after I confirmed on this. the second was after I realized I had made such a stupid mistake, In panic,I responded to this chalice with sacrificing my lotus petal for brainstorm (I planned to sacrifice it for my ee in hand, and set up a through the breach kill next turn). I have never made such stupid mistakes in any sanctioned games in my life, it is really hard to understand why I did such a play. But the good thing is I was too tired at that time and finnally could drop to have some rest.
I was overall satisfied with SNT, although there are ton of decks with bridge and chalice in my meta, which means the process of the game is much harder to control than ever. EE really shines as a sideboard card. I would play one more copy next time. Omniscience sucks whole day(I board it out against tezz, pox and mud), maybe it is not worth playing it and there are other ways to beat containment priest anyway.

Played TPSs list from MTGO today, -1 Flusterstorm Main +Pierce (I am short Flusters...) It's dumb how clean the list is right now, assuming you don't have to worry about more than 1 DnT match-ups.
JPA probably has forgotten more about Sneak and Show than I know, but I've tried Leyline of the Void and I think it's an absolutely putrid card in this deck.
Honestly, I had completely the wrong reaction. Defense Grid is Sooooo Goooood making matches better/easier that you have like 8 loose slots. You can afford to run the set of Leylines if you think you are going to play against GY decks, and you can afford to mulligan to them aggressively in those matchups.

Arcane Artisan
In addition to appearing in Bob Huang's 5-0 list from this week, he also top 4'd the team open this weekend, dropping only one game on camera.
He played Arcane Artisan and it looked great to me. Better than the one-of Through the Breach, dodging spell pierce and flusterstorm seems big. And when you don't have a creature in hand, you can just loot.
What is everyone's thoughts on this development? It also appeared in this weekend's Classic top 16.

Arcane Artisan is the real deal. Through the Breach is such a mediocre card in non-Cunning Wish lists that, Artisan feels like a strong upgrade. I was a little surprised to see it against TES since my first impression was that it's a card that will help you grind against fair blue decks, but given that storm goes after your hand pretty hard with discard, having a card that lets you get down half the combo and dodges Duress does seem pretty appealing, and the camera match showed that. Looks like it's bought out everywhere now lol.

I think it is a meta choice. If your opponent cannot remove a blue creature after sideboarding, Artisan is fairly effective. If they can, it may just bait a REB.

One Question ¿How sideboarding versus decks with karakas? For exemple Death & Taxes, Blood Moon is good?,the Omniscience in or out?
(disclaimer: son is DnT, I'm SnS, so we play this a lot at home)
- 4 FOW
- 4 counters (mine is 3 spell pierce 1 flusterstorm)
+ 2 pyroclasm
+ 2 abrade
+ 2 blood moon
+ 2 wipe away (this is going off soon in my next iteration of sideboard)
Omniscience stays in. Leonin Relic-warden and phyrexian revoker are to be answered by abrade (used for any artifact hate like chalice, bridge, needle, etc) and pyroclasm (goblins, elves, DnT, generally creature based decks). Blood moon against karakas and ports, wipe away against karakas and anything else e.g. leonin relic-warden, revoker, prelate, etc etc so that's 6 hate cards for their lock pieces (1 karakas on the board, 2-3 revokers, 1 leonin-relic-warden)

What is the difference between classic S&S and the version with 3 omniscience and cunning wish?
In which matchup do you prefer the version with wish, and against RUG deck which do you prefer?
I've always played the classic version and I do not know which one to choose now... plese help me

I've always played the classic version and I do not know which one to choose now... plese help me
Traditional S&S is more streamlined and consistent with Sneak Attack being a much more prominent part of the gameplay. Omnishow is a lot more reliant on resolving a Show and Tell because it leans a lot more heavily on Omniscience (cunning wish is kinda a putrid card if you don't have a Omniscience in play). Generally speaking, the Omnishow version is better at beating decks with cards that traditionally hose regular S&S (Karakas, Ensnaring Bridge, o-ring effects, etc). Omnishow is also a lot better in the "mirror" match if you're playing against traditional S&S. So if your meta has a lot of stuff like D&T, Maverick, Stompy decks with Ensnaring Bridge, and even other S&S players, then the omnishow version would be better.
By "RUG deck" I'm going to assume you mean RUG Delver, and in that case traditional S&S is better. The allure of Omnishow is that sometimes decks can beat your plan of cheating a fatty into play and you need some additional game to go over the top of them. RUG Delver is not one of those decks. They are, for the most part, just stone dead once you cheat a fatty into play.
If you have a really good read on your local meta and think that Omnishow would be a better choice, then go for it. In an open meta, I think that the traditional version is better. It's more consistent and doing what the deck wants to do - Omnishow gets incongruent hands more often and loses to itself a little more as a result. Also, traditional S&S gets a real sideboard which makes it easier to adjust to certain matchups. Omnishow has to devote a certain amount of the board to wish targets and the instant speed combo kill. It gives the deck more of a tool box feel. This has some pros and cons - on the plus side you'll never have to feel like an idiot and pick up your cards if your opponent manages to stick an Ensnaring Bridge game one. On the other hand, cards like Release the Ants and Fireminds Foresight are completely worthless except in the very narrow situation of when you're comboing off. I personally hate the feeling of having "wasted" sideboard slots like that, but YMMV.

Won a small tournament with traditional list last night, finally this deck worked well for me once again.
2-0 grixis control
I got there through a lot of discards and counters on game 2.
2-1 RIP UW control
I showed on game one baiting for counter because I assumed the only 3 cards in his hands might contain a fow. But it turned out that he put a helm down and killed me next turn.
2-1 Post Eldrazi
I lost game one because I couldn't find a creature in time.

Scrubbed out with Bob Huang's 74, replacing the second Pyroclasm with a Kozilek's Return. Here's a quick recap, and maybe you guys could tell me what I did wrong re: boarding.
Round 1: Vs Elves
Combo out once I had 3 mana, then off to game 2.
Boarding: -2 Omniscience, -3 Preordain, +3 Grafdigger's Cage, +1 Pyroclasm, +1 Kozilek's Return.
Combo out on turn 3. He had no answers.
Round 2: Vs UB Deathshadow Delver
I combo out very quickly as he ran out of counters early on.
Boarding: -2 Omniscience, -2 Preordain, -2 Force of Will, +1 Pyro, +1 Kozilek's, +1 Defense Grid, +1 Boseiju, +2 Arcane Artisan
I get beaten down by Delver and Gurmag. The following game, I get beaten down by Deathshadows.
Round 3: Vs UB Delver
I fail to find anything and die to Delver beats.
Boarding: Same as above.
I fail to find anything, and he has Edict ready for my Show and Tell.
Round 4: Vs D&T
I combo out turn 2.
Boarding: -2 Preordain, -1 Flusterstorm, -2 Spell Pierce, +2 Sweepers, +2 Abrade, +1 Arcane Artisan
I die to Karakas at the ready. Twice.
I really think the Blood Moon should be there, but my problem with Bob's SB is that it has zero bounce. Would it be wise to replace 1 Graf's with a Wipe Away?

I am not a specialist of the deck by far, but testing on MTGO with Artisan, I found it a great card, although people are already cognizant of its power. It is usually best used when your opponent sideboards out all their removal, and I have had a few surprises facing removal that would have been useless against my main threats, so either they were aiming at some secondary wincon (Lavamancer…), or they knew Artisan was coming down.
And of course, it is worst game 3 is your opponent knows it's coming. Still, I found it very useful in a number of matchups, and it does make a number of staples (Spell-Pierce, Cabal Therapy...).

Used to run this when blue was rampant so swapped the mountain for boseiju therefore could use KTK blue fetches.
The top end meta appear to be blue heavy except for DnT (boseiju is a dead/bad card against non counter decks) so that might be one sacrifice decision. i.e. slight edge against blue decks bad MU against otherwise.

Death's Shadowis essentially a Delver variant so board the same way as you would against Grixis delver. The one thing to keep in mind is that Pyroclasm is a lot worse out of the board against Shadow than it is for Grixis Delver, but Grim Lavamancer is a little better since it can serve as a chump blocker and also threaten their life a little. Engineered Explosives is also pretty big game against them.

In a world of Dimir and Grixis, LoSanctity is a good idea.
Anyway I have played the deck and I find it to be a joke. You can turn 1 draw 14 or turn 2 kill or Leyline yourself into digging a Boseiju that gives you uncounterable Cunning Wish into uncounterable Through the Breach for Emrakul..
should they ban Show and Tell, the deck would go red with Blood Moon Sneak Attack and Through the Breach as well as Gearhulks and Inferno Titan. That would be strong alreqdy with Chandra Chalice and Trinisphere
Show and Tell just makes it impossible. Remembers of the old Flash-Hulk combo. It’s one more mana and 1 more card to hold in hand..

Being new to SnS (not legacy got other decks), is the best way to grasp the various intricasies to start with the regular version (which has been suggested to me) or dive right in with cunning wish (which is what I was thinking of doing)?

Borrowed omnitell for the first time. Changed 9 cards (4 main, 5 side) for cunning wish package. Went 3-0-1
R1 - mana'd dredge 2-0
Game 1 I counter their turn 1 LED and take the driver's seat.
Game 2 I kill with a shown griselbrand
R2 - miracles 2-0
Omniscience with lots of counters both games
R3 - BR Reanimator 2-1
Game 1 I mull to 5 and can't beat a turn 1 chancellor
Games 2 & 3 I counter all of his meaningful spells while I set up sneak attack
R4 lands - ID
We ID'd due to me needing to leave part way through.
I thoroughly enjoy the deck and despite only playing it tonight I have a better than basic grasp of the strategy (partially to the comments of everyone on here).

This is the list I am playing, which seems to do quite good at my LGS and against my friends. However, UB Death Shadow is quite hard. Not because of Delvers, Death Shadows, but because of Thoughtseize, Daze, FoW and Hymn to Tourach(mostly after sideboard).
How do you guys win against UB Death Shadow? Should I change my sideboard? Is Omnitell better than SnS against that deck?
And what is the general opinion on SnS vs. Omnitell?
Thanks in advance.
And what is the general opinion on SnS vs. Omnitell?
It's combo vs. combo, so no matter how favourite or underdog you are, there's gonna be instances where one deck instagibs the other with little to no room for counterplay. Variance matters a great deal.
That being said, as a Omnitell player I think SnS does have the upper hand.
1. In a unknown environment (big tournament) be careful if you see many islands and cantrip durdling. The worst possible scenario is you going Show and Tell into Emrakul and they put Omniscience online, resulting in your own death. Had that happen to me a couple of times, it was hilarious.
2. Griselbrand is your best friend for obvious reasons, so much better than Emrakul. It creates an imbalance of opportunities. They have to go through show and tell because nobody plays dream halls anymore. So you get a chance to put Griselbrand into play for free, often resulting in you winning the match because of too much control. Either that or they have to waste a discard spell (if Ub) into it, leaving you with counterspells in hand.
3. For the same principle, Sneak attack is good too because it creates an imbalance they can't really deal with.
4. For the same principle, Show and Tell is a bad card and I think you wanna side 2 out for ttb.
5. If they run monoblue or U/b (which is gonna be most of the time), you also have the REB advantage.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, but I actually meant what the take on which of Omnitell and SnS are best against the currrent field. For instance is Omnitell having an easier time with Grixis Control and UB Death Shadow than SnS. Sorry for not making that clear, I can see how the way you understood it makes more sense.

For awhile, JPA93 and a few others used to toy around with 4x leyline of sanctity in the sideboard. I've just tested this in an LGS event yesterday and the approach is still the same as against grixis delver pre-gitprobe ban: postboard they bring in more black based hand disruption like more therapy, and especially hymns.
There are two problems with this approach: (1) mulligan/luck into it (2) weaken 4 slots in SB against the rest of the field. My LGS does not have a lot of black-based decks; but in a GP it would be very prevalent: UB/DS and grixis/control are up there right now and moving forward.
In addition, LGS version of UB/DS plays no underground sea and reaches top 8 quite easily. Just like how Bayou are sometimes not needed for dark depths, so are useas for UB/DS, hence local popularity in black based SB hand disruptions against combo decks like ours --- let's just say I'm expecting it to rise.

SB
4 Leyline o/t Void
2 Grim Lavamancer
2 Pyroclasm
3 Blood Moon
2 Arcane Artisan
2 Red Elemantal Blast
Match 1: Goblins
I feel I'm favoured in this matchup since I'm faster and they play little to no disruption / counters.
Game 1 I play a turn 4-ish Show and Tell into Emrakul. She puts into play a... Karakas. Lol. She bounces my Emrakul eot, I scoop to her revealing 4 Goblins with a Ringleader, me having nothing relevant in my hand and being pretty low on life.
I side in Pyroclasms, Grim Lavamancers and Arcane Artisans.
Game 2 I manage to stabilize at 5 life thanks to two Pyroclasms, the first one killing a Lackey and the second a Chieftain and a Warchief. I have a Lavamancer in play which does a great job at keeping the Goblins at bay, and an Artisan which is forced to blocking duty since she again has the Karakas and I only have one Griselbrand in my hand. She manages to play a Thorn af Amethyst and a Ringleader which I Force of Will. After a few turns I decide to tap out to play Show and Tell into Omniscience, since this will allow me to win on the spot if I draw an Emrakul and will prevent me taking further damage with the three Ancient Tombs I have on the table... . This puts me down to 3 life; which kinda scares me since I know some lists play Lightning Bolt. I assume that she would have boarded them out though. Surprisingly, she scoops somewhat prematurely when I put my Griselbrand into play and she has a Piledriver while I'm tapped out (so no red mana for the Lavamancer)... . I think she forgot that she could simply bounce my Griselbrand every turn but whatever, onto game 3.
Game 3 she does some early damage. I can play a Show and Tell into Omniscience into Emrakul and she scoops because she can't prevent the Emrakul from annihilating her entire board save for two permanants with me still being at a pretty healthy life total.
1-0
Match 2: Storm control???
I keep a mediocre hand with two Show and Tells, an Emrakul, two islands and some other stuff. He plays Thougtseize on turn one, duress on turn two, and Thoughtseize on turn three. By that time I have nothing relevant left and I lose to an Ad Nauseam into a huge Tendrils one or two turns later. I completely put him on the wrong deck. After the match, he tells me that he plays 4 Duress and 4 Thoughtseize maindeck. Lol.
Match 2: Again my hand gets ripped to shreds and I never manage to draw the two pieces of the combo. He shows me his sideboard which contains two Flusterstorms and a few Xantids. I'm pretty sure that that combined with the 8 maindeck discard spells makes this matchup literally impossible to win. If anyone has some tips on how to beat this monstrosity I'd be very grateful.
1-1
Match 3: Eldrazi
Game 1 he puts me on an early clock with t1 Mimic, t1 Endless One for three and an uncounterable t4 Smasher. I'm stuck on lands and die before I can assemble the combo.
Game 2 he has a slowish start of t2 and t3 Matter Reshaper. Turn three I play a Ponder, revealing three Ancient Tombs, with the fourth one already being in play. Lol. Next turn I play Show and Tell, planning to put into play an Omniscience into Emrakul. However he puts into play a Meteor Golem. Rofl. I scoop since I'm at 8 life and he has 9 power on board.
1-2 and drop
Azcantas were pretty mediocre the the few games I played. It's excellent against slow grindy control decks but not so much against decks that want to kill you on turn three or four... so it' ll probably get replaced.
All in all this wasn't my day. I had to mulligan 3 times, lost all die rolls (as usual) an drew pretty poorly even though I play 10 cantrips and 2 Intuitions. I'll probably give the deck another go an the next tournament the upcoming Saturday, hoping for a little bit more luck... .
I think for the current meta you were running the wrong leylines.

Well first of all, Show and Tell + Omniscience + Cunning Wish is a three card combo. Sneak Attack / Show And Tell + fatty = two card combo.
Second of all, you need to devote a lot of sideboard slots to play Cunning Wish.

Seems somwhat light on graveyard hate... . I personally find two Grafdigger's Cage not sufficient against Reanimator, dredge and the like. The Cage might even be too slow if you're on the draw... . Blood Moons are not really necessary imo. Lands already is a very good matchup. It's ok against Eldrazi but only if you play it before turn 3... .
Here's my sb for comparison:
2 Flusterstorm
4 Leyline o/t Void
2 Grim Lavamancer
2 Pyroclasm
2 Red Elemental Blast
2 Arcane Artisan
1 Tidespout Tyrant (non legendary creature that works with show and tell and can bounce any problematic permanent)
Another unrelated question: I play 3 Griselbrand and 3 Emrakul. I'm seriously considering going 4 Griselbrand and 2 Emrakul. Show and Tell into Emrakul is simply too dangerous. If your opponent plays Liliana, Jace, Karakas, Edict, Council's Judgement,... it's a pretty large setback. If you Show and Tell a Griselbrand at least you get to draw a load of cards making it very likely you can recover next turn. Anyone else tried this?
Seems somwhat light on graveyard hate... . I personally find two Grafdigger's Cage not sufficient against Reanimator, dredge and the like. The Cage might even be too slow if you're on the draw... . Blood Moons are not really necessary imo. Lands already is a very good matchup. It's ok against Eldrazi but only if you play it before turn 3... .
My personal experience is that aggro decks that put down a Karakas have a very good chance of killing you before you have a chance of going off with Sneak Attack. Also, Blood Moon just take care of a lot of stuff in something like 4C Loam and still badly neuters a bunch of decks from Thresh to Shadow, so I find it a better catch-all card for my sideboard for matchups where buying time might be the issue, whether because they discarded a bunch of stuff from your hand or because you they can tempo you out with soft counters. I really like the Tyrant, though, that sounds like a very interesting option.

That and the fact that Grixis Delver isnt as played anymore due to Deathrite + Gitaxian Probe ban.
Here is the deck that I want to start playing with. It's essentially net decked and I want to tweak it according to my local meta which at the moment is:
death and taxes
reanimator
eldrazi aggro
infect
burn
miracles
The deck I'm building and want to run/tweak is:
Lands:
3 Island
1 Mountain
3 Flooded Strand
4 Scalding Tarn
3 Ancient Tomb
2 City of Traitors
3 Volcanic Island
Creatures:
3 Griselbrand
3 Emrakul, The Aeons Torn
Spells:
4 Show and Tell
3 Sneak Attack
4 Brainstorm
4 Force of Will
4 Lotus Petal
2 Omniscience
3 Cunning Wish
4 Ponder
2 Preordain
2 Spell Pierce
1 Impulse
1 Intuition
1 Flusterstorm
Still need help with the sideboard according to this meta (want to include Firemind's Foresight and Release the Ants in it as well). Are there any improvements that can be made to this deck? After watching some games on youtube I can understand how this deck operates but I want to know what to look out for against the decks near the beginning of this post.

May it be a valid option to replace the 2 Omniscience in straight SnS with 2 Blood Moon and move Omniscience to the side? I am playing the deck for a while now and in most matchups I found Science pretty useless or Win more? Most of the time I just pitched it to Force. I know it`s the win against D&T, but that deck doesn`t see much play right now. Blood Moon would offer annother angle of attack and a game 1 answer to Karakas. It`s also strong against Dark Depths, Lands, Loam, Grixis Control and Delver strategies. So may Moon be completly wrong in the main?

Blood Moon is great against Lands but you already have a good matchup against that deck... . It's not that great against Delver either since playing a Blood Moon when they already have a few creatures on the board is not that good a way to spend your resources. Not to mention that Blood Moon can screw you too since you won't have any fetchlands anymore to shuffle with Brainstorms. Also against a lot of decks, Blood Moon does absolutely nothing. Omniscience helps you win matches that you otherwise wouldn't be able to win. I actually cut Blood Moons from my 75 completely and haven't looked back.

So are any of the new Planeswalkers a possible fit for Sneak and Show? Narset, maybe?

Nope, I don't want to play any of them.

Narset is good when opponent has exact 0 board pressure. But under that situation you are winning sooner or later...

I'm not a regular Sneak and Show pilot, but the inclusion of the green splash is really interesting to me. Anyone care to comment on whether this is a flash in the pan or possibly the new norm going forward?

I am 40 years old with 2 kids, I haven't play in a tournament for months, but my mind always calculate cards and tricks for my favorite deck.
I really like my own version of the deck, and I want to present it to you.
It's more straight forward, with 10 enablers, low number in counters, and a trick to overcome some of the "soft counters" of the game.
4 Griselbrand
4 Emrakul
4 Show and Tell
4 Sneak Attack
2 Through the Breach
3 Grim Monolith
4 Lotus Petal
2 Omniscience
4 Ponder
4 Brainstorm
2 Preodrain
4 Force Of Will
19 Lands.
Grim Monolith really accelerate the game. You can car turn 2 a Sneak Attack or ThB. Additionally the extra produced mana can handle soft counters such as Spell Piece.
Thoughts accepted.

Decided, against better judgement, to give this deck another go at GP Bologna. R1 I lose against burn, after my opponent mulligans and only plays one land the whole game. I keep a hand that has a few fatties, a volcanic and a few cantrips. I lose the die roll, cantrip three times and fail to find a colored land, petal, AND Show and Tell. G2 I am manascrewed again. I do get to attack with a Griselbrand while at one, but he has lethal on board. I draw 7 and fail to find an Emrakul while having an Omniscience on board and facing an opposing Pyrostatic Pillar.
R2 I lose against Storm. I lose the die roll. G1 he kills me on turn three, despite two or three cantrips I can't find one of my 8 counters. G2 I win after I draw 21 cards. G3 he opens with Xantid Swarm which I Force. T2 he plays Thougtseize, taking my second Force. He goes off the next turn through my Spell Pierce.
Conclusion (from all the previous tournaments): the deck is simply too slow and inconsistent to be tier one. 1 in 10 games you'll get a free win but 9 out of 10 times the deck simply durdles itself to death, your opponent is faster or plays cards you almost can't win against. I won't be playing it again in the near future.

Sounds like a pretty iffy keep on that hand vs. burn.
Feel free to take your anecdotal evidence as proof, but I don't think your experience encapsulates the actuality of the deck's capabilities currently. This is certainly not my recent take on the archetype in general.

I've been playing the deck for several years but sure, call it anecdotal if you want. As I clearly said, it is not only from these 2 games but from all previous tournaments. Yes you do get free wins sometimes but much more often you will be durdling and cantripping or have your combo piece countered. If you draw the nuts every game you will probably win but then again that goes for every deck.

Can you post your list? Your perceived meta?

What people's thoughts on including Daze?
I run a fairly standard SnS list sans Cunning Wish... Took a short break before the era of Wrenn & Six and returned to find Oko everywhere!??!
4 Brainstorm
4 Ponder
3 Preordain
1 Jace, the Mind Sculptor
4 Show and Tell
4 Sneak Attack
4 Griselbrand
3 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn
2 Omniscience
4 Force of Will
2 Spell Pierce
2 Flusterstorm
4 Lotus Petal
4 Scalding Tarn
2 Polluted Delta
1 Flooded Strand
3 Volcanic Island
3 Island
1 Mountain
3 Anceint Tomb
2 City of Traitors
Been considering whether to replace Spell Pierce and Flusterstorm with 4 Daze... allows you to go off a little faster with protection but you are left with softer counters than Pierce or Flusterstorm.
Thoughts?

Daze isn't especially good in a deck with multiple City of Traitors. It also can slow you down by interfering with your early land development, as well as not being a very good counter mid to late-game. Just my opinion.
