Well, I decided to enlargen the scope of my play logs a little by testing the BUG control list I had in last week's article.

Enjoy!

I really enjoy these articles where you do a step by step run through of your thought process throughout the entire match.

I would be interested to read the rest of the match!

Really liked this one, Carsten. I'd also like to read more on the deck.

Needs the Mid-Report Hand/Board Checks upgrade like the Storm ones do. Apart from that, just as good as the previous ones.

Looks like Delver had a really slow keep. No clock until turn 3. I like the look of the list, looks tuned to beat a midranged meta.

Looking forward to part II.

That was me who played this deck. I based my list, as you can obviously tell, on the original list Carsten posted. I didn't like 4 counterspell at all and wanted something that could just straight up beat combo and thats why I played Flusterstorm. The only change I would make is -1 surgical +1 pulse/blue elemental blast. I wanted either an answer to jace or another answer to a resolved blood moon/sneak attack. The deck felt very strong all day.

My matches were:
2-0 Team America
2-0 Junk
1-1-1 Deathblade (I should've won on turn 5, but I missed the line)
2-0 Ant
2-1 Team American (with Sinkholes/Stifles/Wastes/Hymms)
1-2 Sneak Show (He had turn 1 blood moon on the play game 3 and I couldnt find a basic, but had 2 in my opening in game 2 of course)
2-0 Sneak Show

Top 8
2-1 Deathblade (Same opponent as earlier, barely lost game 1 on a mull to 4 on the play)
2-0 Sneak Show

Split the finals vs deathblade, but we both agreed its a great matchup for me

I think the deck is very well positioned right now. I felt very favored in any fair matchup and combo felt fine post board. You have to play quickly though since there are very few win conditions.

Thank you Carsten for posting the original list.

Better late than never, I hope. Real life's been busy, sorry!

@Esper3k & jamis: Thanks, happy you liked it. I hope you saw the sequel :)

@Myelectronicdays: Thanks :) Also that's when I love reading articles, too^^

@Zombie: I'll try to include more of that in the text. Or would you rather see actual boards set up, similar to what is done in puzzles?

@Tormod: Thanks :) And yeah, a rather slow Delver draw, I agree. Part two has happened by now, though :)

@lyracian: thanks for the info!

@wweenieking: Sweet, thanks for giving the deck a run! I like the looks of your list, your reasoning makes a ton of sense and your results speak for themselves. Thanks for sharing the results and how the deck ran! Also: you got a shout out for this one, hope that's fine :)
