View Full Version : What is the MTG / Legacy community like in Buffalo NY?

My wife and I are moving to Amherst , a suburb of Buffalo next fall for law school and were wondering what kind of magic scene there is up there? From what I can tell it'll be much better than Dallas just because we are much closer to several large cities that host major tournaments.

Can anyone shed some light on what its like up there?

If you're willing to drive a couple hours to Toronto you'll find a thriving Legacy community with plenty of events. I can't speak specifically about Buffalo but you'll find lots of Legacy in Southern Ontario. Ontario MTG tournament listings forum (http://www.mtgontario.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=18)

On another note: I'm so sorry you'll have to live in Buffalo. What a shit hole.

High taxes, poor weather, bad economy and everything is run down. Friendly people, though.

Pretty much nailed it. Good wings though. Do your mouth a favor and head over to Rochester one weekend for garbage plates.
