Are there any legacy groups/tournaments in Chicago, IL? Me and a friend are looking to dabble in the tournament scene...

I probably should have been a little more specific, sorry. We're looking for something that falls on a weekend. Thanks for the info though. I'll definitly check it out whenever my work schedual has me open on a Monday. What time do you play?

Unfortunately outside of Hotsauce it has been my experience that legacy is a little thin in the Chicago area. Here's what I am aware of as _scheduled_ but that isn't the same as firing.
Saturday @ 6 PM - Nerd Rage Gaming in Buffalo Grove, though it looks like they've removed it from their calendar. It was firing on Wednesdays, then it stopped, then they moved it to Saturday and never got going again. A prod from some interested players would probably get it back on the calendar, hopefully at a better time than 6:00 PM on Saturday night...
Sunday @ 1 PM - Pastimes in Niles. They also run it on Thursday night at 7. I've been there on Thursdays and sometimes it fires and sometimes it doesn't. It's usually a matter of coordinating a group to make sure we have enough for it to fire, which will then in turn attract a few people who are otherwise there to draft. I suspect Sundays are the same, and I plan on trying to get something going once the NFL season is over and I'm not watching football all day on Sunday.
Xtreme Games in Lindenhurst has also run monthly Legacy on Saturdays at 11 in the past, but not recently. If enough interest were shown here they would probably also put it back on the calendar.
There is a thriving Legacy scene in Chicago. Monday nights we play at Dice Dojo and Thursday nights at MTGCardMarket. Both are within the city (as opposed to the previous stores that were mentioned which are in the suburbs). Play is sanctioned, and we have a pretty decent showing at both sites each week.

Awesome, I didn't know this. Do you have more info? Time, cost, etc?
I've been itching to jam low-stakes Legacy for a long time. You guys know the feeling, right? Like you want to play Enchantress, but you don't want to play it for 10 rounds?
If you're on Facebook, here's the Chicago Legacy group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1413180428911715/
Tuesdays is Dice Dojo starting 7pm EST (http://www.chicagolandgames.com/)
Thursdays is MTGCardMarket starting at 7:30 PM EST (http://www.mtgcardmarket.com/)
Both are $10 buy in sanctioned. Dice Dojo pays out in packs per record, and MTGCardMarket pays out in store credit per record.

Anyplace got anything on weekends as Trino asked for (and as a suburbanite who can't make it to DD or MCM I'd like to know as well)?

Seems like you finally figured your way around the forums, welcome to thesource trino. Wished I could join you guys, and play magic all over the place again. There used to be a group I used to play with over at College of Dupage, I don't know if they still hang out over there since it's been years. Hope you find nice place for magic.

Indeed I have Claymore. It's good to hear from you. You should definitely come back and start hanging out again :)
