A pet card of mine is plunge into darkness , but I've never really found a place for it. I realized that with laboratory maniac and angel's grace I had a two card combo.
How it works,
1. cast angel's grace
2. cast plunge into darkness and exile your deck
3. find laboratory maniac in the exiled cards
4. Use a cantrip and win the game.
Pros
Not graveyard dependant
All the combo pieces but maniac are never dead
costs can be spread out over several turns
Very compact
Life loss is not a big deal depending on line of play.
Cons
very prone to creature hate and burn
A staring point could look like
4 plunge into darkness
4 angel's grace
2 laboratory maniac
4 lim-dul's vault
4 dark ritual
4 lotus petal
4 brainstorm
4 sensei's divining top
4 misdirection
4 duress
4 gemstone mine
4 scalding tarn
2 misty rainforest
1 island
2 underground sea
1 tundra
4 ponder
4 spell pierce
Right now I see this as having nothing but potential.
