Be that as it may, I'm not usually on here that much. One of your members suggested that I post here. Otherwise, you would have had more notice.

Are the prizes paid in cash? Credit? Staples? And is the 3pm start time correct? SCG NJ is the same weekend and it would be nice to hit this tournament Saturday on the way down to NJ for Sunday, but a 3pm start time means the tournament will run very late making this idea too far fetched. I recently went to a CT tournament that started at 12 and it didn't end until 830 and that was only 30 players.

ALL prizes are either cards and/or sealed product, of which we will be listing in a couple of days as we are trying to get through prerelease first. Tournament starts at 3pm, yes. Our typical tournaments that start at 3, usually run to about midnight but sometimes sooner. People drop, fast play, etc etc.

so massive! oh wait, there's a 10k in nj the same day and the next day which pays dolla dolla bills? i prefer cash as strippers and drug dealers won't take my theros sealed product. :\
Post quality is going to require some improvement. Capitalization is required when posting here. Also, the derisive tone isn't called for. Long story short, pick it up please. Thanks. -zilla

Bump, because the event's in 6 days. And there's still only 16 peeps (including myself) as guests attending on the FB page for the event:
https://www.facebook.com/events/258091567690506/?ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular
Click "Going" and invite your FB friends, CT/NE Sourcers! Even if you're not going, your friends might! The prizes aren't guaranteed if attendance is less than 30!

In the future if they hold it either not the same weekend as a SCG within driving distance or not at 3pm (which this just seems very odd to me) than they would have a bigger turnout. I usually come with a car full or two to all bigger legacy events in the NE area, but have to skip this because of the scheduling. I'm thankful for the store supporting legacy, and don't want them to give up on hosting them if they get a weak turnout. I hope they continue supporting us in the future.
Thanks!

The 3 pm start is odd, but I welcome a prep event before Sunday Legacy.

280$ in product for 1st for a 30$ entry is below my normal x10 entry for 1st rule of thumb for attending an event or not, but I will show up since the event is so ridiculously local for me.
I would advise the TO's to consider contributing to prize structure if more people show, and also consider that they might lose attendees due to the high entry and "relatively" low prize support. Legacy players are spoiled rotten by prize supports entry-to-prize ratios.
Also be wary of proxy environments. Banned players or cheaters will often flock to them in attempts to manipulate or swindle newer players, which are often the reason for proxy environments. This allows banned/cheating players to go unpunished due to unsanctioned. I recall a specific store in NY (cough hartsdale) that catered to Alex Bertonncini while he was banned so he could play and cheat.
Great store though, Have gone there twice now. Will certainly show up. Plenty of a casual/friendly magic vibe.

Because this is DCI sanctioned, banned players and/or cheaters will NEVER be allowed to play in any of our tournaments. We will add in more prizes IF the attendance rises than what is currently projected. As for the 3pm start time, we don't want to start too early to allow others to get whatever they need to for the day then play. Starting too late runs the risk of people leaving early due to being tired. 3pm seems to work for us in the past.

As for proxies, we are allowing for 4 max because we understand that people can't always get that last minute card or two. This allows them to play, as long as the 'card' is legible and clearly defined as to everything it entails. More than 4 proxies is unwanted as it brings in people who simply make their deck of cheaper cards and print our the more expensive ones.

You can't have proxies AND have the event be sanctioned, one or the other.
