Hey guys, I'm working on a new version of an old deck combo I saw utilizing Caller of the Claw and Nantuko Husk. The premise was to sac creatures to Husk to make it huge, then cast caller of the claw to make lots of bear tokens, either saccing them in turn or leaving yourself with loads of replacement creatures. I saw Bloodthrone Vampire, which is Husk for one cheaper and only a 1/1 instead of 2/2, and decided to sub that out instead.
The deck runs Prowess of the Fair as a second source of tokens to sac to the Bloodthrone, and makes the deck really resilient to Wrath effects (which are fairly popular in my local meta). One thing I would like to do is make the deck a tad more reliable, and able to win without getting the combo necessarily. I'd also like to possibly work in Pernicious Deeds as a lategame plan in case I cant sneak a huge vampire in for lethal damage.
The decklist:
// Lands
4 Gilt-Leaf Palace
4 Llanowar Wastes
10 Forest
// Creatures
4 Deathrite Shaman
4 Wirewood Herald
4 Bloodthrone Vampire
4 Caller of the Claw
4 Elvish Visionary
4 Wirewood Symbiote
4 Elves of Deep Shadow
3 Timberwatch Elf
// Spells
4 Rancor
4 Prowess of the Fair
3 Rite of Consumption
suggestions welcome!
