Deck Summary
This deck consistently wins against Death and Taxes, Goblins, BUG, and Stoneblade, and is close to a wash with Miracle decks. In fact, I haven't come up against a single deck archetype that gives me any serious trouble. All of the creatures have evasion in the form of flying, or in the case of Phyrexian Crusader, protection from red and white which is huge when it comes to dodging Lightning Bolt and Swords to Plowshares. Phyrexian Crusader can be bounced by blue or destroyed by black, but bouncing is only temporary and most black removal cards only target non-black creatures. Forcing a sacrifice is the only sure way to get rid of Phyrexian Crusader, and your opponent will probably have to sideboard to find something to deal with him. In other words, he usually sticks when you play him and he will win you the game single-handedly. Again, all the other creatures have flying, Inkmoth Nexus is usually protected on your opponent's turn unless they play a Wasteland, and Skithiryx can be given haste and can be regenerated. These creatures are hard to deal with, and the fact that they have infect makes them twice as dangerous.

Putting Dark Confidant, Liliana of the Veil and Hymn to Tourach in this deck is a no-brainer. Dark Ritual is almost as powerful as a Black Lotus, as it allows you to turn one Liliana, Hymn+Inquisition, Dark Confidant+Inquisition, Phyrexian Crusader, or if you have two Dark Rituals in your opening hand you can drop Skithiryx and make things very uncomfortable for your opponent. Dark Ritual and Dark Confidant in combination with a heavy discard line of attack allows this deck to generate massive card advantage. Funeral Charm is so versatile in this deck because it can be used to make your opponent discard, give Phyrexian Crusader or Skithiryx two more power, or give your creatures Swampwalk (in case your opponent has some flyers) which has great synergy if you have Urborg out. Dismember serves as a solid all around creature removal spell for potentially just :1:, and once again, Funeral Charm shines here too because it can take out Dark Confidant, Stoneforge Mystic, Noble Hierarch, or Delever of Secrets. Surgical Extraction serves to make the discarding even more painful for your opponent as they lose all copies of whatever spell of theirs seems to be giving us the most trouble. Toss in four Wastelands to attack your opponents mana base, along with a versatile sideboard of mass removal, land destruction, and forced sacrificing and this deck will allow you to attack your opponent from almost every angle imaginable.

This deck is very fun to play, and with the combination of acceleration, discard, land destruction, and removal to support the deadly infect creatures, there aren't many archetypes out there that can shut it down. Only a deck with a lot of counterspells can give it any real difficulty, but if you can get just one creature to stick you should be okay. I think the tempo this deck generates far outweighs any aggro advantage that UG infect decks have over it. With a core of Liliana of the Veil, Dark Confidant, and Hymn to Tourach, this deck has the punch to overcome anything one's opponent throws at them.

I like the interaction between urborg and charm. Has too much damage from confidant been an issue? You've got a lot of cmc 3. Whispering specter seems weak. 3 for a 1/1 flier. Their hand should already be empty with all the discard. If they've still got a grip, are you in a position to cast him, wait a turn and connect/sac?

Have you compared this to the existing infect decks? They're fast and have, what seems to be, better creature quality.

What would you replace Whispering Specter with? Splash blue for Blighted Agent?

That's the only other infect creature I would consider, but adding another color really takes away from the explosiveness that Dark Ritual provides. It allows me to potentially drop Whispering Specter turn one as well.

I haven't had any issues with life loss from Dark Confidant, but luckily I haven't hit a Skithiryx with it yet!

Phyrexian Vatmother and Hand of the Praetors might be worth testing. I like the Vatmother as a huge body that can fight almost anything, while the Hand has a few interesting abilities.

I took out two Whispering Specters in favor of running four Liliana of the Veil

If those creatures had some type of evasion I would be all for incorporating them into this deck some how, but seeing as how they're stuck on the ground any chump blocker your opponent has render them almost entirely ineffective.

This deck is about generating tempo and card advantage by wrecking your opponents hand and manabase, then when they are top-decking, overwhelm them with pesky infect creatures early mid-game.

fun idea !
in order to speed the things up and add some resilience againt artifact & enchantment

wouldn't +3 deathrite +3 decay +2 fetch (and maybe a singleton bayou instead of 1 swamp) -2 swamp -4 Whispering Specter -2 dismember be a good switch ? that would also lower a bit the average cmc.

I don't think this deck really allows DRS to shine. The lifegain ability is the only thing I see as beneficial, along with the general graveyard removal, but it already has Surgical Extraction for some graveyard hate. The mana acceleration isn't necessary because of the Dark Rituals and forcing your opponent to lose life is meaningless when you are giving them poison counters. Dropping a DRS turn one just doesn't feel as good as going off with a Dark Ritual into a Liliana, Phyrexian Crusader, or Hymn+IOK.

Abrupt Decay on the other hand seems like a nice fit, but I don't know what to take out! Perhaps putting Ratchet Bomb in the sideboard in place of the Sinkholes would be the better choice though...

Also, I already took out all four Whispering Specters in favor of running 4 x Liliana of the Veil and 2 x Surgical Extraction.

well 6 fetch + wasteland will surely give you the main shaman's food and it doesn't imply you removing any of those cards => dark Ritual into a Liliana, Phyrexian Crusader, or Hymn+IOK
of couse the -2 dmg seems a bit useless yet the +2 life can net you some time while abusing dark confidant.
drs turn one may not be a bomb but it allows phyrexian turn 2 or 2 cmc + discard or simply going around daze.
while giving you the opportunity to cast decay without weakening too much your mana base.

I took out 4 x Damnation out of the sideboard and replaced them with 4 x Ratchet Bomb. Now nothing is safe from this deck. Muahahaha!
