Here's a list I came up with, anyone think the deck can compete in today's meta? Or should I just admit it and give up on ever trying to make the deck playable again? Another idea I was looking at was returning to baseruption or counterbalance bant

It just feels like Deathrite Shaman outclasses Noble/BoP by a long shot as the preferred T1 ramp dude. This basically puts you into black (or atleast a black splash) in order to abuse his ability.
It also seems like the meta has a bunch of answers to Progenitus: all the sneak/show duders, TNN with equipment racing you, Supreme Verdict, Terminus, Liliana). The minus value of 2-for-1-ing yourself to make Progenitus just really isnt worth it.

Traditionally, bant's gameplan was to ramp with Noble and co. into bombs (NO, SFM, KotR) that could close the game out with some protection (Daze, FoW, CB) while playing the premier removal in the format (StP). With the printing of Deathrite Shaman, TNN, and Delver of Secrets, it just seems that you can do the same thing, but better, in other colour combinations.

Unless there is a Bant list that tries to do something a bit different, there really isn't a reason to stray off the beaten path (or maybe you just have trops, tundras, and windswept heaths that havent been together in a deck for a while, and that's probably okay too).
