Hey everyone, this is a deck idea I've tinkered with for a little bit. I've always been a big fan of Standstill and I keep brewing new ways to break the card in Legacy again. Basically, this deck is almost a cross between something like the old Merfolk lists & Tempo-something.

Strategy:

It's super easy, You basically want to either go Vial --> Standstill, or drop one of your extremely efficient 1-drops --> into Standstill. The idea is that either they're forced into a position to break your Standstill immediately, or you're going to continually "Level Up/Evolve" and beat their face; also, Vial makes this an extremely sticky situation for them as well, since with Vial out time is on your side, you can continually drop Standstill and force them to have to deal with anything you drop in on them.

Mother of Runes is there to either be an unstoppable wall, or make your creatures extremely tough to deal with, or allow your creatures to swing through difficult "pro" creatures, Jace's, Lavamancers, etc or anything that would have been annoying to fight through. E. Tutor's mainly for consistency, you're either gonna grab another Standstill, a Vial, or a Detention Sphere which is extremely versatile in getting rid of annoying things that might get in your way or tokens. This deck runs on such a low curve, and with Vial, so Wasteland and Mutavault are just more resources at your disposal to use.

Let me know what you think, give me some feedback and thoughts.

Probably want more wastelands, and Mishras Factory is better than mutavault. Higher lands count because under a standstill you wanna make land drops.

If you play daze, 4 wasteland go well in hand. E tutor is pretty slow and will loose you the important initial boardpos this deck wants. As pointed out 4 mishras is stronger than mutavault. And why mom? Why not go with stoneforge and batter skull/some sword. This also plays nicely with your enchantment and ends the game quickly if you get double strike.

This deck is very vulnerable to t1 chalice otv @1 which is quite popular.
