Child of Alara EDH deck help

A buddy of mine wants me to build an EDH deck and I have some ideas but generally only play Modern and Standard, so this type of building is foreign to me as I want to run multiple copies of certain cards but can't. Need some help putting this together.

Sigarda Host of Herons
Gisela Blade of the Goldnight
Avacyn Angel of Hope
Maelstrom Archangel
Progenitus

I guess it depends on what he wants to do. You could always just build five color goodstuff or a deck that abuses Child's dies ability. There are definitely lists out there, maybe take a look at some and go from there? Black tutors would probably be a good idea though, regardless of build (vampiric, demonic, etc.)

Child gives you an excuse to play Lands.deck in EDH. Otherwise, I'm not sure it's significantly better as a general than other five-color options.

ok, you need stuff that puts cards in play or allows you cast fast, you wand dudes that do something on leave play, CIP not so important, and you need a lot of resurection. for that you will need draw and tutors. Do you want it fast competitive not budget, or bit slower but budget? you can trick things into play easily - Elvish Piper, Master Transmuter, Sneak Attack, Dream Halls, Hypergenesis, Eureka, Show and Tell, whatever... you can abuse child every single turn - Hell's Caretaker, Doomed Necromancer, Apprentice Necromancer, Corpse Dance - just need a land for sacrifice, or avacyn /anything that makes your side of table indestructible/ and sacrifice outlet in play. I am playing Child since it was printed back in alara. Before that i used Cromat.
