Question: If I have both Serra's Sanctum & Hall of Gemstone in play at the same time, and I choose the color Green on my upkeep does Serra's Sanctum read:

I'm fairly certain it is the first option, but I would like to confirm.

Hall of Gemstone only affects color, not amount as opposed to Contamination for example.

since the enchantment contain "when" it signals a triggered ability which produced the mana from the enchantment not the land, thus you get the color chosen by sprawl. If it were produced from the land it would provide the color chosen from hall of gemstone. I am lead to my conclusion by the fact that other auras contain wording like, enchanted forest gains... This is not the case in our situation so I would expect the enchanted forest to produce 1 mana from hall and 1 mana chosen by sprawl.

i could be wrong, but i don't think I am.

Can I get a second opinion on the Utopia Sprawl Part of this question. I think that it would still produce the chosen color, and not the Hall of Gemstone color, but I'm unsure.

A land does not generate the bonus mana, Utopia Sprawl does.

This is so useful, I just googled this and see the thread was recently necroed. Thanks! It may actually make Serra's Sanctum *better* then in producing green mana :wink:
