Pyromancer ascension + tormenting Voice

As title says, what happens if I have Pyromancer ascension in play and I cast Tormenting Voice with another Tormenting Voice as additional discard cost?
My guess is that I could put a charge onto the ascension as discarding a card is an additional cost to CAST it, so when it goes on the stack the second voice is already in the graveyard, triggering the ascension, but I could be very wrong.

You would put a quest counter on Pyromancer Ascension.

A card is only considered to be "cast" once you have paid for the cost and all performed all other tasks associated with casting a spell. So, you will discard Tormenting Voice B, Tormenting Voice A will be considered cast, and Pyromancer Ascension will gain a quest counter.
